Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

@Faith-and-Hope @Anastasia @Sans911 @outlander @Shaz51 @Snowie @Eve7

My beautiful little girl has been layed to rest. I wrapped her in her favourite blanket and placed a butterfly and flowers my sister and Mum brought in with her. She is under her favourite tree hiding place - I will build a beautiful mosaic memorial for her over the top later.

For now it is just getting through each hour - plenty of Toby and Clover cuddles - and sleep when I can,

@Anastasia That beautiful image and words made me cry - especially '...no pain'. My girl was in pain and I could not let her go through anymore.

@Faith-and-Hope I wish you were here with me Hon Thank you to D3 for her hugs also.

@Sans911 Cat has been such a large part of me (and us all) here - and you too know that pain of losing one of our fur babies - so thank you so much for you kindness ...plenty of tears here also Hon but she is at peace and not in anymore pain and I need to hold onto all those wonderful memories I have had of her. She wa a little fighter, so beautiful and gave me so much love - and whilst the next couple of weeks are going to be hard - right now I am just numb. I have Tobes and Clover to look after now (Tobes has been looking for Cat so it will take time for him too). Plenty of fur baby cuddles and snuggle time - we will all get through together

Re: Far and Away

Hey @Zoe7 - my thoughts have been with you all weekend hun 🥰🥰🥰

I'm not sure if you are aware, I have a new fur baby. Her name is Clio.

This time will be intensely painful, but as time goes it will hurt a little less each day. Anniversaries are hard, seeing photos and memories are hard. Life is hard. But life is beautiful at the same time. You have blessed with the unconditional love of a beautiful cat, the trust and devotion you gave to her was unwavering and strong from the beginning to the end. I don't think I ever knew such a spoiled and fiercely loved pet as Cat. You were, and are an amazing, kind and caring animal lover.

Yes, lots of love and cuddles with Tobes and lil Squishy Face Clover!

You are so much loved Zoe from so many here. You've had a very, very difficult year but surround yourself with our love and light that we have for you. We will be strong and carry you when you can't go on.

Know too that yes, I understand the loss of a pet all too well. So my tears are falling for your loss. 💚❤️💚❤️💚❤️💚❤️🌹🌹🌹

Re: Far and Away

@Sans911 It seems like throughout this last year it has been death upon death upon death... I honestly do not know how much more I can take Then though you and others come along to remind me that there is some good in this world, people that truly matter, who can show that care and compassion, those that 'see' when someone is in pain and reach out a loving arm to hold onto at a time I cannot hold myself up

Cat was my little girl - so beautiful and so much loved from the day she came to me. That day I did not intend to get another cat but she followed me around amongst all the kittens at the cat centre - I picked her up and never let go. She was an angel sent when I was still missing my previous cat - it really was meant to be. The look in her eyes when we put her to sleep was still that little kitten I first met - absolute love and devotion (from both of us). I am going to miss her terribly Everywhere I look there are reminders of her. I have been opening the back door and latching it open for her the last couple of days (habit). Even going to the bathroom is sad - I have always had to put the toilet roll up on a shelf so she cannot get to it (still has on many occasions and I have retuned home to find toilet paper from one end of the house to the other lol). Just this evening I went looking for her when I brought the vacuum cleaner out (she hated that) - but she wasn't on her chair ready to run and hide There are going to be reminders of her everywhere for a long time but I have 2 other gorgeous fur babies to look after so I need to hold it together for them. Tobes especially as he has been looking for her. Thankfully I am on holidays and here for him - and hopefully that will help him adjust to life without her a bit too. He and Clover are best friends though so that also makes it a little easier.

Thank you so much Sans for your care, love and support - I cannot put into words just how much I needed all that tonight 💜💙💚🧡💛

Re: Far and Away

You're so very welcome @Zoe7. More than a year later reminders of Jasper are still everywhere. Chewed plastic bags that I know I should throw away but I can't. His bowl. Toys (I gave some away). So many things you stumble on. But one of the loveliest things that happened was that I found a beautiful stone memorial box for his ashes. Generally they are extremely expensive, but this one wasn't. It didn't look 'cheap' either.

Because I have a tendency to move a bit (not this time though) all my cats were cremated. They are all in one special place in the display cabinet with their photos, cat figures and cards.

And now I have Clio. My little girl fur baby. The timing was right, and she's so right for me. Except she's establishing her pecking order in the house right now! And it's going to be number ONE!! lol!

Hugs for you, for Tony and Clover. Hugs and much love all around 🥰🥰🥰

@Faith-and-Hope I can only summise by your absense here that life is either very busy or difficult ( very much hoping it is the former). Miss you Hon ...so, so much 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Re: Far and Away

Just found the photo of Clio @Sans911 OMG she is adorable I am so pleased for you Hon. No-one could ever take the place of Jasper but I hope she fills that space in your heart just a little bit.

I started to think maybe getting Clover affected Cat too much but I cannot think like that - she was sick and we did everything we could for her. I am grateful I have Clover - especially because her and Tobes are like two little peas in a pod - but Cat was special 💖

It is so lovely you have such a wonderful place for your fur babies in the display cabinet. I am going to create a special place in the corner of my garden for Cat. It was her favourite place to hide and to sleep in the sun so it was the perfect place to lay her to rest.

I had a bit of a giggle at Clio establishing herself as No. 1 in the house. Clover was certainly not the same - Cat ruled the house but Clover is such a layed back little soul that nothing really phases her (except the vaccum cleaner - much like her big sister). It is going to be an adventure seeing how Clover is now that Cat is not here ...but I am sure Tobes will keep her in line 👍

Re: Far and Away

Oops I just realised my daft autocorrect spelt Tony instead of Toby :face_with_rolling_eyes:Sorry @Zoe7

Yes, little Clio is quite a madam. I just had some yoghurt, and of she wants to know (and sometimes try) everything I'm eating. But she was so disgusted by my yoghurt she's moved away!!

She was quite skittish the first few days, but then there was no holding back. Mr A is a big boy at 6kgs; she is barely 1kg! She doesn't care though. And yes, she is mostly adorable when my hand isn't used as a hunting tool, and she's not playing or biting electrical cords!

Re: Far and Away

She reminds me so much of Clover @Sans911 I was a bit sad the first week or so as I did not think she would be a cuddler or close to me - but that soon changed. Now I can't get rid of her lol She too wants to eat whatever I am eating and loves to bite my fingers or toes. She is also a licker - often wake to a face bath lol As I said - her and Tobes are two peas in a pod - he is a licker too 🤣 I sweat Clover thinks she is a dog (and Tobes a cat). They run around the house chasing each other and little Clover (who only came up to Toby's leg when we got her) has never taken a step back from him. She does like to bite his ears or play with his tail - and generally Tobes lets her. She has been know to pounce on him from the loungeroom chair then lay down and let him bite her (playfully of course). I have also quite often had both of them on my lap - not easy - usually Tobes on my leg and Clover in my arms. At the moment they are both asleep next to me - think it is time for me to do the same. I have not been sleeping at all at night - nightmares have returned but know it is because of the lack of sleep I have had over the last couple of weeks and losing my beautiful girl. Been staying up tonight also to watch the tennis but I think I need to give in now and head to bed.

Thank you for being you Hon - I am so grateful to have you and others here in my life - and connecting with you tonight could honestly not have come at a better time for me ...was feeling so lost and down but you have helped me beyond words. Goodnight sweet Sans911 💖💖💖

Hi @Zoe7 ..... 💜🐾💐🦋💞

Yrs, it was the first one ..... super busy with the kids, but I think I missed your notification yesterday because I have been keeping an eye out. Spent the last couple of days with ao

e last-minute special excursions before taking D3 to the airport where she is back with Nelly tonight, in quarantine for a few days. I have also been knitting like mad for grandbaby, before I too have to head east again - but not before a trip to visit my Dad and sister in the rural west. Haven't made it to my brother this time ..... a death in the family dominated here for several weeks.

I love what you have done to celebrate precious Cat, and what you plan to do when you are up to the mosaic ❣️ Hugs n hugs n more hugs .....

💜💜💜 @Sans911 @outlander @Anastasia @Shaz51 and all who pass by or gather here .....
