Okay .... couldn't take photos while I was driving .... cos I was the one driving .... lol ....and we had to make it down here before kangaroo hour .... so I have taken some this morning.

Now while this might look like ordinary scrub to a lot of you .... this is what ours usually looks like ....

We are here for the ancient trees @Former-Member ....

I will post more photos tonight when we have been into the forest .... and if it stops raining .... :face_with_rolling_eyes: .... and we actually get to set up and paint .... I will be able to show you some images of that too.

Taking photos and hopefully sketching to do a big oil painting in the coming weeks, to enter into a national painting comp. Did one last year with a portrait, but didn't get accepted. That's not the point though.

With hubby as lost as he is and no way forward till he's out of denial, I have to get out of that head space and focussed on something else, as do the kids, so things like this are really important for us .... peaceful and healing .... as you say ....

I have been down here before with D1 as a part of her studies .... visited the Karri forest .... and it's awe-inspiring .....

Will post seething about the trees.
