How things are now

How things are now

Hello Friends its been just a little while since last post so thought Id give an update on how things are in general, the very good news is the family member with medical condition has been discharged from hospital thankfully and is recovering at home, which is wonderfull news really as we where all quite concerned, but as for the family member with recent declining mental health I havnt heard anything more for now which I think means there still needing in hospital inpatient treatment to get back on track, as for other areas of my life in regards to my partner things are going well and I feel supported and cared for,as for self care a few things have helped such as going for a walk in nature, going for drives, getting some favourite foods to cook or buy,the other day I spent at least an hour or two allowing myself to unwind watching a nature series in the afternoon which really helped with imprrovement in sleep that night, also cups of tea ,spending a little time resting but also keeping busy ,there was slight depression mood creeping up at one point but thankfully thats been kept at bay, declutting the house usually also helps , a bit of spring cleaning today as the weather was beatifull and sunny overall just taking it one day at a time doing what I can when I can with sometimes the need to be vocal about boundaries thanks as always to the support here on the forums having a place to type and Journal ones Jouney is also very helpfull sometimes its easier to type than to talk out loud ,hope everyone has some nice plans for the upcoming weekend heres to doing life at each our own paces no rush

Re: How things are now

That's great to hear @LostAngel . I'm glad things have been better for you and your family member. It sounds like you have found what works for you. I'm glad to hear that the weather and being able to declutter has been helpful.

The weather has been lovely here too.

Re: How things are now

Hi @LostAngel

I love it when the jonquils come out. It reminds me of my mother. She used to always say the Spring is not far away when they flower. She's right as usual. Yes, the pleasant sunny days are always easier for me too. I get gloomy during long periods of overcast wet and cold weather. Last week I was having moments of not feeling too great but I have learnt that these periods will pass just as the good ones do. I've had years of dealing with myself now and my moody depressive episodes and my persistent anxiety. Mostly I'm in a good place.

Sometimes I find journaling unhelpful. Actually, I haven't done any for ages. I do create though. Anything, music, poetry, paintings. I sort of have a direction. My life weaves in and out of this creative endeavour. Occasionally I feel recognised through my art which is a real buzz, but unfortunately, that, too, passes.

I relate a lot to what you wrote. I love nature and recently moved to be closer to it. Decluttering, too, is a great activity, and it feels so good to keep it that way. I get a real sense of achievement from that. Finally I have a bit of order in my life. Not too much, but some.

Have a great weekend and I hope whatever you have planned comes to fruition.
