@Former-Member .... I don't find questions about my day nosey at all .... and I love hearing about other people's day too .... even if it seems mundane to them, it's a "breaking of bread" together .... life is made up of every day simple things mostly, with bigger, more exciting events happening at times.
That's where mindfulness is something we all ought to practice, mi or not .... and try to make our living space around us a little more beautiful or appealing, step by step, and work out our favourite place to stop and take a coffee-break - sitting on the front steps, on a chair-swing under a tree, curled up on a favourite couch, in the car by the ocean ....
Use a coloured marker to write your shopping list or to-do list ....
Pin photos onto the front of the fridge ....
Keep your favourite mug on the kitchen windowsill and bung some flowers from the garden into it when you're not using it ... what my mum used to call a posey ....
Buy a bath towel, a big one, in your favourite colour ....
Lots of things you can do to keep you in the moment.
Have just done some housework and am about to go out with WH, S2 and D3 ... walking 15minutes up the road to a coffee-bar .... that is a coffee shop during the day that becomes a bar at night .... but not a seedy one .... it's like a community lounge room with three big TV screens set at different programs .... usually soccer on one, a fashion parade on another, and music video clips on the third .... sound off cos there's pop or jazz music playing .... lights dimmed, candles on tables and general chatter .... age groups from mid teens (ID required for alcohol) through to young-oldies like us .... nobody drunk .... not a real raged party environment .... more like a restaurant, although different coffee bars attract different clientele and have different "flavours" of decor and music.
You can order coffee, cold drinks, snacks, whatever .... so I'm in the Greek Beer Garden if anyone wants to join me .... 😊 .... they've got wifi ❣
