Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

I'm big feeling with you @Maggie as I let that sink in. The little feels in a big adult body is huge. I'm sorry you went through what you did to leave you so scared 🙁

I'm also sorry your cave gets so lonely too. It's super tough to have that innate need for healthy relationships but the knowledge and experience of how damaging unhealthy ones can be. It's cruel.

Behind my fine is also really scared. Hurt and scared. I'm so thankful there are people who get it and who can sit with it with us. I'm thankful for you Maggie.

I’m thankful for you too @CheerBear also I’m sorry that what you have gone through, and are going through, has left you with the Hurt and scared feels. Though I do feel alone in my cave, strangely......I feel more alone in a crowd........ Not sure if dotting or anything will happen today. It’s raining and cold, so plenty of good enough excuses. 💜💕💜💕☕️☕️☕️

Re: Just checking in.

I totally hear that @Maggie, about feeling more alone in a crowd. I had big tears to my counsellor the other day about an experience I had in a group the day before. Something happened and I felt myself kind of snap on the inside. I felt like I wasn't there and wasn't part of anything anymore. I didn't fit in, couldn't understand them, didn't want to be there but was stuck there. I was frozen somewhere else and it was such an alone feeling. At least on my own I can be on my own. I can feel what I'm feeling and think what I'm thinking without the need to try and appear to be some kind of socially functioning person. Blegh.

Maybe it's OK for nothing to be happening today and for you to be instead of do. I always hesitate to ask what people are doing with their day as there's so much pressure to do and being can be the best doing. Sounds like your day will be a being day. Cold and rainy here too. It works for me today.

Very familiar with that place you found yourself in @CheerBear ..... huge feels for you ❣️ You said it so well, and I don’t think I have ever said it, so you said it well for both of us ..🌷🌷

Hi @Maggie 💜🌷💕👋

I'm sorry youre familiar with that place too @Faith-and-Hope. I can very much see how that would be something you might experience especially given you go through what you do. Big 💗

Re: Just checking in.

It used to be all around, but outside our home @CheerBear ..... part of the big change was for it to suddenly emerge inside our walls 😔.

I learned to live with it in the without, and I have learned to live with it within ..... and my kids are champions.

Had an amazing convo with a couple of them a couple of nights ago. They told me that they have been “being” and I have been “doing” .... and now it’s their turn. They want me to do “being” while they do “doing” .... because they will be listened to and supported where I am not, so that will become my support by proxy ....

I think that is a big part of my load-off-flatness today ..... and the house is so quiet !! Mr is away, with D2.

@CheerBear Yes to all you said big time. Being is underestimated. I’ve been a doer all my life. Taking off the caring cap is hard, maybe I’ve found a misplaced belonging in there

The guilt feels come with it big time. I think I came out of the womb wearing the Carers hat. Lol. Mixes in with self care. All a muddle isn’t it. Lots of these as you Be today. 💜💕💜💕☕️☕️☕️

So much truth in that @Maggie .... 💗💞

Hugs @CheerBear ..... it can feel so scrambled, but believe it or not, you are leaving a trail of unscramble behind you ..... and it’s making champions of your kids too ....

I feel you @Faith-and-Hope. Within the walls of your home is really tough. Your kids are awesome. They have a great mumma ❤ I love that they're supporting you to do being. Enjoy that load off and quiet. Bliss 😊❤

@Maggie I half laughed at being born with a carers hat. Just at the image of that. I had some news of new life entering this world this morning and was imagining the fresh, squishy one coming out wearing a hat 😉😆

It is a muddle to be a caring one. A caring, doing one is exhausting and tricky in so many ways, especially when guilt comes knocking too.

Always a great start to my day to share a cuppa with you. I hope there is peace and calm in your day, however your day may be 😊❤
