Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

Hi @Zoe7 @Teej @CheerBear .... anyone else in the convo ......

I have a girlfriend who introduced me to the fact that she grows those hair, bone and teeth things ..... fascinating, ain’t it ? So weird and awesome at the same time.

@CheerBear , I am thinking that middle is probably not too big to keep a sticker-type chart for progress in terms of variety and quantity of recovery food choices ..... maybe with a drawing / colouring or something type aspect to it ? Could involve glue and glitter if you are not way over both ?

Newsagents stock mall children activity books with stickers in them sometimes, related to learning about things in their environment. You might find such stickers helpful without using the rest of the book.

Re: Just checking in.

Happy last-week-of-term for you now @Zoe7. I hope your Friday has had some good in it ❤

Great idea @Faith-and-Hope and thank you ❤ Middle isn't too big for sticker type things (no-one is too big for stickers I think 😉) but I have a feeling the problem might be too big for stickers. We've tried lots but not much has helped increase intake of what's looking to be needed. What's needed for that is probably specialist support now, which I think this might bring. Whether that's specialist medical or psychological (etc) I'm not sure. I'll talk with the osteo and then our GP and make a bit of a plan I think. I know you understand as well as anyone, the challenges in working with and around tricky things like this one.

I chuckled at your comment about glue and glitter if I'm not way over both 😆😁 For the first time ever, I'm pretty over glitter and glue lol. Hope your evening is going OK or better 🙂

👋 to anyone else who might be calling by.

Re: Just checking in.

Yes one week to go and then holidays @CheerBear woohoo!!!!

I have a lot going on in the first week of holidays and then will be able to rest in the second week. So kind of 2 weeks before I can settle in and do nothing but I will get there eventually.

Do you have anything planned with your LF for the holidays?

Re: Just checking in.

Starred walking home to burn off frustration (assignment not working) ..... and have just found out there is a baby dragon meltdown at home .....

Sigh.

Maybe that are all just hangry ?

Will try feeding everybody I can as a first measure.

@CheerBear 👍

Re: Just checking in.

Counting down with you until you get to your woohoo @Zoe7 🙂

The second week is Easter week for you I think? I can imavine how much youre looking forward to a break now.

My plan for the holidays as of last night is to survive them 😉 We have a couple of fun things that we will hopefully get to and a couple of unfun things also (a house inspection, appointments for middle etc). We'll definitely be spending a fair amount of time going between our house and our people's house though, which is going to be really nice 🙂

Re: Just checking in.

Yes the second week is Easter @CheerBear We will likely have the Sunday at my parents house for lunch and then the remainder of the week (apart from DBT) will be mine to relax. If I have enough energy I will move some things in the spare room and try to get that area sorted but my first week is going to be full on so it may need to wait unitl later in the year.

It sounds nice going from place to place visiting people - something you haven't had enough of in your life for a long time so that will be lovely to be able to do. Will there be some puppy playing times in there too?

Re: Just checking in.

There will definitely be some puppy time @Zoe7 😊 I speak to her owner (my person) every morning and they often put me on loudspeaker so I can say hello. For someone who isn't a dog person, I'm a dog person 😉 I'd love to meet Toby and see the two of them play together.

Most of a week off sounds really good. I Hope you get as much relax time in as you want.

Re: Just checking in.

I would love you to meet Toby too @CheerBear You would love him (everyone does). He is such a smoocher and loves pats from anyone. He would go with anyone who showed him any attention but he always looks for me to make sure I am close by. You would love Cat too - she is such a little sweetheart
