Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

Hey @Teej. I'm at the house with the beautiful garden. There were some new purple flowers in the driveway that made me think of you when we got here.

How was your day today?

Re: Just checking in.

That sounds lovely @CheerBear. My day was ok but I was very slow. Took meds last night like prn type ones cos I flipped out over something stupid but couldn’t let it go easily. Today I’ve been unable to concentrate or do much but mood is ok. I haven’t been able string a sentence together. I had a phone call with mum and had to fess up cos I was so off with the pixies. Couldn’t finish sentences even :face_with_rolling_eyes:.

Surveyed my property after big storms here and managed to get through unscathed.

Son and his girlfriend are planning their holiday and it’s just like sibling arguments 😏.

It’s especially nice to hear about purple flowers.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope too. I see you.

above post for you @outlander too. Didn’t see yours until I posted mine. Sounds like a busy weekend for you.

Re: Just checking in.

Sounds like a very scrambled day @Teej. Glad your mood is OK and that your property is unscathed. Must have been decent storms. Does your mum understand sometimes scrambled brain?

Ugh with the sibling style arguing!

It iis much more purple in person 🙂

Re: Just checking in.

My mum does not understand as such @CheerBear but she accepts it and it scares her I think because she doesn’t know what to do to help. She has come a very long way but still has some to go. She was giving me a list of things I need to do thinking she was helping. She finally accepted that I was brain fried and we ended the phone call in an ok way. In the past I might have reacted badly after I got off the phone but I’m better at dealing with it now.

I expect it will be weird for you again with this change in your life with the people in the beautiful garden house.

Re: Just checking in.

I can relate a bit to that with your mum @Teej. Really great to hear you dealt with it well. It's a struggle to respond not react sometimes.

I think it will take some time to adjust again to just us at being at home, and to the things that have changed with our family. I'm looking forward to it being a little less full house-ish though.
