Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

Oh @Teej I'm sorry to hear that you have another week ahead with this one. So disappointed for you. That would have seriously thrown me and I really don't think I would have taken it well either.

It's been a busy day and I'm heading out with the crew for a couple of hours now but I wanted to send hugs before I go. I'll try and come by when I'm home again.

❤❤❤

Re: Just checking in.

Yeah @Teej .... holding patterns really suck .....

The only answer I have is to keep busy with (positive) other stuff and “have a day” ..... each day .....

Get up in the morning and sketch in a day ..... make bed ..... eat something .... wash something .... fold something .... clean something ..... go shopping for that night’s diner stuff (gets you out of the house) ..... run an errand while you’re out .... come home and cook .... throw a shower in there somewhere ......

If you’re having an okay day, do something for you - but a new plant, go for a walk, have a coffee out, call a friend.

Just keep having a day and ignore the problem that’s on hold as much as you can while you can’t do anything about it anyway.

Hugs n hugs @Teej ❤️

She might have worked out that she’s only got half of the story and is going back to the drawing board.

Hey @Teej. Thinking you may be sleeping but thought I'd say hi. Late night out for us. Wish I could say what we were up to but I can't.

I hope your afternoon and evening have been OK enough. Wondering whether you have any plans for tomorrow now what you had on has changed?

💗 thinking of you

Hi @CheerBear

I’m having a nest day today. Feeling a little cheated. I had a friend message me to see if I would like to go to a movie today and I passed because of the appointment 😬. However I’m not sure I’d be up for it either.

What is your day shaping up like?

Re: Just checking in.

Nest days can be good days @Teej. Not sure what it's like weather wise for you but it's cold grey and rainy here. Nesty weather.

I'm not feeling so great today. I woke way too early with a flood of should have, could have, must do, want to do etc. None of the things were doable at the time I woke up so I did a bunch of 'must do something' things that have left me tired. I've just finished an appointment with my new MH worker which was tricky. Lots of prompting me to talk about hopes and dreams and goals which kind of feel further away than they've maybe ever felt. I got stuck in how much I want to be able to get over everything right now (how much I wanted to be over it about 5 seconds after it happened but here I am nearly two years on) and how much I wish I was how I used to be not how I am now, mode. I feel pretty sad today and have lots of this is all a bit too hard for me today happening.

I also have my mattress on the ground after a run and jump out of bed when I felt sick the other day broke the end support pole of my bed frame, so I probably need to at least start looking at replacing that. Disassembling my bed was one of the brilliant ideas banana brain had at silly o'clock this morning, which I now wish it hadn't had 😏 That will be what I will try and do between now and school pick up.

I hope your nest day feels good for you. I'm sorry you're stuck waiting. It's hard.

Re: Just checking in.

Hi @CheerBear it’s been ☔️ ng all morning here too. Just starting to clear a bit.

I just realised that we are at total opposite ends of the scale when it comes to dealing with big feelings and messiness. It made me smile. I stop, just get paralysed and exhausted and can’t move. I get the feeling 'I’ve been hit by a truck' and everything goes into slo mo. I’ve not move from the couch and slept so far today. The only movement I have is a strange kind of rocking 😳. I don’t want to do this as I have lots I want to do but feel a bit sucked into the vortex. Maybe the sleep has helped a bit and I’ll get going soon.....then again. I’m also being a princess 👑 as I finally got my periods and it’s been a full on one 🤬 but at least my internal United Nations has a chance to work together again.....for another 20ish days :face_with_rolling_eyes:.

Reading your post helped me remember that tomorrow is dday part one for me. The cool thing about that is at this point I don’t have too many feels about it. I don’t know if I’ve changed or that I’ve just accepted it. It will be 7 years tomorrow, possibly tomorrow I might feel different.

I smiled at your bed saga.......because I so wanted to say you shouldn’t have friends jumping?? on your bed. That would be me :pile_of_poo: stirring 😆. I hope it goes back together ok with an easy fix. I slept on my mattress on the floor for about 18 months 😳. Having said that it is a huge mattress (I was gifted).

Im really sorry that it was really tricky with new my worker. It sucks so much having to get to know someone new. Personally it’s hard for me to know how it feels to have had a life that was going really well taken away. As much as dday was the catalyst for me breaking down, the true breakdown occurred during therapy when I realised how dysfunctional I’d been my whole life. I remember that moment vividly. Much of my si came as a result of that. It still does. I can imagine though if I was in your shoes I would want to turn back time lots to change the outcome. I know you don’t believe it but I do believe that there is a brave new world for you out there that will be just as fulfilling, just different to the other one. You’ve got this. I’m not going to let you forget it. 💜🤗
