@Former-Member tried to leave but kept coming back - too much fun I really suspect (not because her lift hadn't turmed up!)

@Faith-and-Hope, thank you for the good wishes. The most amazing transformation happened for me in 2016 - a tough, tough year mentally, emotionally. Passing through the guano cave of my family's neglect and abuse - and finally, finally the bats have flown. Stepped out into a new way of being, me-ing.
This writing course I am attending has unlocked something, big. No more 'recovery' rather 'discovery'. I am honouring that 14 year old girl who excelled in the first semester of the year 1976 - year 10 English, then the great splitting happened and the cataclysmic years and years of illness... Finally coming home to HER promise.
I love me.

I love your owls enjoying the fireworks for New Year - I have copied that and may use it as an owling great group hug some time - but I have saved it with your name so I know it's yours
Happy New Year to everyone else too - I watched a movie last night - very complicated - the kind of movie I will think about and watch again - very tight plot - and saw (and heard) other people's fireworks - heard a lot of them at midnight
To me New Year is not a big deal like Christmas - it is just a change of date and now I don't say "My mother died last year - she died a couple of years ago - and the further that date is the less I think of her
But I wish everyone else the best for 2017 - we do this every year - when the shiny new year has yet to get any bumps and scratches

I am still trying to wake up slowly. Went to a friends house and us 4 adults played pictionary, uno and charades (best night).
I want to wish each and everyone of you a Happy New Year and may 2017 bring you all lots of joy, love, wealth and health. If you are struggling may the new year shine a light on you and guide you to a better year.
I am so glad that I have found SANE forum friends. You guys have made me feel welcome, part of a family and supported me. I love you all.
