What to do when there are no options

What to do when there are no options

Hi all. Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts on what to do when you really lose hope. I know all the recommended strategies at coping with wanting to commit suicide. I just have no hope that they will work. My family doesn’t care and I don’t have friends anymore. Nobody would miss me or care that im gone. What if it’s just the truth? I can’t bare the pain I have anymore. What if ending it all really just is the best option. Sorry to be negative here. It’s just where im at.

Re: What to do when there are no options

Hello @Mtlang10

I have a question for you in response to your own question: is it really true that there are no options?

I understand suicide all too well myself unfortunately. Although you write 'What if it’s just the truth? I can’t bare the pain I have anymore. What if ending it all really just is the best option' Again I challenge your thoughts: is it really the case that ending it all is the best option?

Sending you lots of love my friend!

@Mtlang10 I feel exactly the same. I have an appointment with a mental health worker today for an assessment. Bit I think I've decided I've had enough. I can't go another week or another day like this. I can't do it anymore.

Not sure. I have researched out to people for help and got hand-balled.

I’m so dealing well at all.

Re: What to do when there are no options

Hi all @Glisten @Mtlang10 @Sadams50 @Christheart @PositivePossum6 ,

Reflecting back on my MH journey, I can remember many times when I really lost hope. I sat in despair and lived to die.

It was times like this where I didn't keep going on the power of my own hope, but rather on the hope of others. I thank God for those who rallied around to make sure I lived.

When all hope was lost, I leant on others. I lived alone and didn't have family around me, so it was the MH system that carried me through.

I've had it very very difficult and many times I lost hope.

That's why, now that I am so much better, I made a promise to myself to pay it forward.

That's why were are here - to share our hope when you don't have much hope left.

Hugs to you all. You all deserve to live. Give yourself that permission to survive and thrive.

@tyme I don’t have people rallying around. I’m an inconvenience. I’m questioning the viability of my existence.

Hey there @Glisten ,

We are here to really around you.

I had no body - no friends, family or anyone.

The system took my in. Sounds sad, eh?

But I'm here.

You have us at least. We can't be with you physically, but you can know that others have been down a similar path. What you posted earlier is exactly how I felt all the time. It made me do things I deeply regret.

@tyme Thank you for your support yesterday. No sleep the night before. The wheels fell off my emotional cart.

@amber22 Day 1 National conference reaching out to a person of influence asking for help “somewhere to live and a job”.

I’ve been hand-balled to someone else. Let’s see how Day 2 unfolds. So far I lost the key to my son’s house 😬

Re: What to do when there are no options

Heya @Glisten ,

How's today going for you? Did you end up finding the keys to your son's place?

It reminds me of when people say, "Your keys are usually in the last place you'd look?" I'm always thinking, "Well, of course! If that's where the keys are, I wouldn't need to keep looking!"

Anyway, hope you've had a good day. It's cold here. I had a hot filled spud for lunch 🙂
