Is there at all a way to find out which psychs offer strategy over 'cure'?
Hi all!
My confusion of late has finally defragmented and I have a direct question that I want answered!
Is there ANY way to find out what any one psychiatrist or psychologist understands of any one neurodivergance, and the direction and values they hold in terms of therapies?
I really do want to try again for building an appropriate support network. But at this stage in my life and with this many insulting dismissals and hurtful 'treatments', I am too tired and overhwhelmed to cope with facing another 45min session of leading questions and baseless assumptions.
For a schizoaffective, or whatever I am. I don't care. They can relabel me again, I'm over the hurt of that from last time. But, so long as it has MEANING. Rather than a reason to handball me off or walk away.
How do you research before you're sat in front of someone that does not care to listen? Is there any professonal that reads prior history, ever? How do you find out?
Thanks.
