Life's dice are clearly loaded

Life's dice are clearly loaded

I almost don't even know what to say. As you know, I have struggled with wanting to 'go' for several years, but with only one life to live, I tried to fill it with the things I wanted to achieve. Yesterday, I learned something which is probably imminent, and it will make my life a draining sink. I have no way to fix this situation and things were already serious. I don't want to talk about it in the hope that not doing so will delay it, but in the meantime, it's making me feel that I'm not even allowed a little peace.

I can't take people or the miserable life allowed me anymore. If I make changes, I will regret them, so I plod on watching everyone watching me, waiting...

'Life' is a misleading word.

Still safe.

Hello @Appleblossom. I put the forum on ice for a while, while I do some deep consideration. I only came on here by accident tonight while looking on Google for something quite unrelated and Sane was on the list, so I investigated why it was connected to my investigation and found myself here. So I am attending to my mail.

I am not at all well and remain so. I hope you're doing alright. 😊

I am sensing you are not well @Historylover Research what you have to. Wish life was better.

I wish life was truly life, @Appleblossom. I read you've been having a flat tyre problem. At least that's one thing I don't have to worry about. Spring is nearly here and the switch magically turns to warming up and daffodils. Yay!

@Historylover I have jonquils not daffodils lol ... prepared some cutting for a last drive in my rickety old very dirty car ... which I call the farm car.

Apparently it was a nail that caused the flat tyre not my bad parking.

Feeling a bit like the title of your post at the moment.... might use the phrase in a session this afternoon.

Sounds like things are mounting up a bit at the moment, @Appleblossom. I hope they all magically resolve quickly. It's unusual to hear you being down. I don't like it.

@Historylover Good Morning.

Just facing up to the situation as it is. Taking off rose coloured glasses. Saw grandson but they are taking him off to Finland for 2 motnhs. Son said I might have to get used to the idea that he goes to live in Finland permanently one day.

Need to call College optometrists today fro real glasses, they were giving me headaches and I misplaced them ... lol Physio in afternoon, pork roast for dinner and singing tonight.

Now I only have reading glasses which is not good for driving. I can see things the size of cars and bikes, but not read signs to well.

What are you up to today?

I've been giving more thought to buying that keyboard, @Appleblossom. I saw a video of the Yamaha NP12 and it delivered more than I would have expected from such a device. I spent some time on YouTube videos last night—how to read music properly, learn to play—and it looked like something that I would enjoy and also challenge me. I'm about to check to see if it still appeals this morning. I don't like acting on whims, but I think if the thought doesn't go away, it may not be a whim.

I guess the headaches have been relieved by removing the glasses? As long as you can see people on the road too, Apple! Before I got glasses and still had a car, I realized that much of my driving was road and location memory based. Frightening.

Yes people are big enough for me to see. @Historylover wry smile.

Eye appointment not til end of month ... so that will be interesting.

Learning music on piano is hugely satisfying and there are so many options to learn material online. Good for brain health and dopamine and learning. I bought a keyboard about 7 years ago so we had a digital option.

Happy to be a ... sounding board ...lol

PS love your definition of a whim @Historylover

Well, @Appleblossom, I bought my keyboard and have exhausted myself trying to methodically get both hands to work together. I thought it would become habitual much more quickly but I'm still practicing my C Major (?) scale with 2 hands—probably for the rest of the month😟. I'm enjoying it very much. It's taking pride of place on my ironing board. Mental stimulation of a different kind. There are many videos on the whole gamut of learning needed for piano/keyboard, so we are very lucky these days. If I get serious, I may take lessons when I get the basics under control. I have a 4th finger right hand that locks from time to time, and little fingers that have minds of their own!

Too much excitement for one day.
