Body pain from trauma :( anyone else?

Body pain from trauma :( anyone else?

Besides the mental symptoms I get from PTSD, it also hurts my body so much sometimes. I don't know how to explain it except my muscles will feel really weak and tender after bad days where I've had a strong emotional response to something or if I've had a trigger really badly, like it feels like I ran a 40k marathon except I didn't train and I pushed myself way too hard. Like I wake up and it's like I was lifting weights in my sleep.

I'm not looking for medical advice ! But I was wondering if anyone else experiences this and if so what things you do to help it?? Ill take baths in Epson salts/ magnesium and try to stretch out my body a bit, but I don't know what else I can do. It sucks because sometimes I'll get a little "lost day" from being triggered but then the next day I'll be feeling better mentally but because I'm physically so tired and sore I kinda lose that day too.

Could be a nervous condition due to lack of Vitamin B12. Please look up Vitamin B12 deficiency @HymieStrange. I had to increase my uptake to meet my exercise goals otherwise felt frayed and frazzled

There is a book called ‘the body keeps the score’. I’ve not read it but I have heard it’s good.
There is also a link between trauma and fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with a number of years ago.

I totally relate to body pain from trauma. Mine was over 30 years ago, and I still get body pain when triggered. My neck and shoulders just freeze up and ache.

If I can think of it I do a little yoga... or some progressive relaxation... or even go for a good walk... but often when this happens I just sit there like a frozen prawn... all tight with no real ability to get myself moving.

Sometimes I am so dissociated that i don't even realise I am locked and in pain for days.

No magic fixes here.. but I do find when I am doing yoga/ exercise regularly I am better... and yet... somehow... I fall off the wagon and stop Just when I need them the most.

Traumatised Mamals are strange ....
