not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

I think that’s a wise decision considering all you have been going through, especially these last few days with your bp @BlueBay

I hope your anxiety eases. Take care. 💙💙💙

Re: not feeling good

It's your decision @BlueBay
Your boss can either accept it or chose not to.
You are your own person and deserve to give yourself the time if you need it. This is what I did last month. I started not to care what others thought because health is first.

Take care of you today my friend

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

You are right to put your health first and it may be true that your boss isn't impressed - but what she thinks isn't important - you will feel better if you stop adding being concerned about what other people are thinking and feeling - there is no need to feel that

But did you ever think you are judging her if you think she is judging you? - the truth might be you are one of several people ringing in sick - some of them concerned they have coronavirus - and if I was in such a position I would be a bit irritated - after all - this is a rough time for everyone - including her and you

So let that go and concentrate and finding out what's wrong with your blood pressure or whatever is causing your health problems - and it would be worse if you went to work and collapsed and needing medical attention there - imo - going to work when you are feeling so unwell would not be a good idea at all

Take one thing at a time - it must be a confusing time when so much is happening - it might seem to be lasting forever but it will pass

Re: not feeling good

Hi @Owlunar @MDT @Maggie @outlander @Faith-and-Hope @Emelia8

I went for a slow walk earlier, it was nice a bit cold but ok.

I have received a phone call from the receptionist at my psych's rooms. My psych would like me to be admitted but i rang the hosptial and there is still another 3-5 week wait if not longer. That will be a total of about 8 weeks then. This is the longest time i have ever had to wait in the 10 years i have been to that hospital. The hospital is a private hosptial and is currently extending, building 30 more rooms. It will be so good once that is completed. we are so desperate in our area for more mental health beds.

Also i received a phone call from the consultant physician in regards to my emails to him. He has said that the tablet he prescribed can make my asthma worse, which is why i was very wheezy on saturday morning. i had no idea. so i am to stop that one and increase my other BP tablet. he said he wants it to go down, it's too high. he is also posting out a form to have an echocardiogram and a 24 hr holter monitor for my BP. He still thinks i could have heart valve issues which is why i am so lightheaded and almost fainting when i laugh. we'll see i guess.

he seems really good this doctor. so now i wait. but to get the extra medication from the chemist, i need a letter of authority from him to the pharmacy. otherwise they will not give it tyo me. even though they know me they still won't.

so another email to him asking if he can do that for me.

i have cancelled my hand therapist appt for tomorrow. i just have too much on. it's doing my head in.

actually now i don't feel guilty about having time off. if she says something to me on wednesday i will say something about my BP and how i was feeling. but really i shouldn't have to justify myself. they really don't need to know anything. i don't have sick leave anyway.

i am glad that i get centrelink payments, so whatever i lose from not working i get paid from centrelink.

Re: not feeling good

Hi again @BlueBay

Yes - you do have a lot going on and time will tell - at least you are seeing medical professionals about all of this

If your boss says anything to you - you can mention you are having problems with your BP and you felt it would have been better for everyone if you stayed at home and rested rather than go to work and be a medical emergency -

I was a medical emergency a few weeks ago - on my birthday - I had been in so much pain for so long I lost the plot about how bad things were - and my case-worker rang an ambulance - at least I was at home and not in a public place - I don't like that kind of drama any more than most people. It's much better to avoid that if possible so - yeah - I am sure you did the right thing -

That is such a long wait to go to hospital - I daresay it has something to do with COVID-19 - more people need the beds for longer - but this is a good point to keep in mind when you start to wonder if it's the right thing to do for yourself or not. Also - keep in touch with your pscych - if you need to go to hospital more urgently then it's a good idea to let him know

Life is complex - the first thing is to get your BP under control and then see what's next

All the best today
