Welcome and getting started

Bipolar and BPD

Bipolar and BPD

Hi I’m very new to all of this and I have no idea what I’m supposed to say. I was diagnosed with bipolar and borderline personality disorder when I was 19, 5 years ago. I stopped taking medication probably nearly 2 years ago because I kept losing spaces of time and felt I wasn’t functioning like a normal human. I’ve been mostly stable for those 2 years. at the moment I feel like I’m completely disconnected from everyone around me kind of like my feelings are really dialed down. Although I have terrible intrusive thoughts and feel very sad and overwhelmed a lot of the time. A lot of conflicting emotions and I feel like I have no one to talk to about how I’m feeling or even what steps to take to feel better.

Re: Bipolar and BPD

Hi and welcome, @MEJ , it's good to have you here 🙂

I'm wondering if you have a counsellor or psychologist to talk things through with? I don't have BPD or Bipolar, but having been on these forums for 3 years now I know that each of those are hard to manage by themselves, let alone together 😞

An important forum tip is if you type @ and then click on a name in the drop-down box, that person will get a notification and won't miss your reply.
