Life on an SSRI

I recently started back on medication specifically anxiety medication for the first time in years

I wanted to write about the journey for me and maybe track my progress by writing about how its going.

it might help someone else who’s considering it, currently going through or has been before.

i don’t think I’m allowed to name what I’m taking but thats ok. this is mostly for me to just get it out of my head. I might even decide Im being too vulnerable and delete this thread, but lets give it a shot.

Today: day 13?? Maybe?

Today was good… 2nd day in a row I felt more settled.
Maybe these things are starting to work?

today: doing ok, was reading up this morning on some of these side effects that the doctor said would maybe stay, the internet said it might go away in time. Mentally I’m doing alright too, been out and about with my family, feeling alright 😊

Thanks for the update @ArraDreaming . I guess we are all different so our bodies react differently to meds. Who knows if the symptoms will go or stay. Whatever it does, remember what made you take them in the first place, determine what you want to achieve by taking them, and see if these goals are met. If there are still concerns, you can look around for another opinion.

@tyme I also realised last now how much better my tolerance is maybe because I’m not holding all this anxiety which has no place to go which turns into overwhelm, and frustration, but now I can kind of work through and it seems a little less out of control In my head

Today: idk what day we are up to, 15 maybe.
Physically fine, mentally been better, but been worse so cant really complain. had a nice day out doing stuff today.
