Funeral

Funeral

A family member of mine died last week. The funeral is on Monday. I'm anxious about seeing the rest of my family. I'm also scared of what feelings will come up. I am going back to a town I spent a lot of my childhood in, a place I haven't been to in 20 years, this also comes with its own anxiety.

I don't know how I'll cope. Tbh I tried to suicide when I heard about the death. I'm safe at the moment, things are just heard, and I have so many feelings I don't understand.

Re: Funeral

@tyme I don't have anyone I can talk to. I can't even talk to my carers.

@Former-Member thanks. I feel like I can't talk about anything with anyone. There's so many things I wish I say. My life has deteriorated since April and I feel like I can't do anything about it.

Hi @The-red-centaur

April.

You do not have to say, but was that something special?

Please. Do not open up unless you want to vent. I vent. When l do, the answers are often in my head and come out then.

Re: Funeral

I'm sorry you can't speak to your carers @The-red-centaur . Are they always with you? I'm wondering whether you have the privacy to speak talk to a helpline on the phone e.g.

Griefline 1300 845 745 https://griefline.org.au/

It's important you have someone to speak to at this time.

I'm sorry to read this happened @The-red-centaur on your birthday.

I hope you will be able to speak to someone about it if you need to. It must be so hard to sit with these feelings alone.

Hi @The-red-centaur

Not much leaves me speechless but your birthday does.

I feel so sorry for you.

I feel so sad for you.

And l feel deeply sorry because i know the failures of the pathetic Justice system.

Have you got a good counsellor?

Regardless stay on this forum.

I hope you will be able to reach out to someone tonight whether it be your carers or a helpline. @The-red-centaur

You deserve to be heard and supported at this time.

Re: Funeral

@Former-Member I just started seeing a new psychologist last week.

I actually saw her today. We started an autism screening today so I feel very drained on top of other things going on.

Re: Funeral

Hi @The-red-centaur

Does your support worker have any idea how you are feeling?

It sounds like your birthday, a recent funeral with estranged family, your step father is too much to do alone.

I hope you have someone safe to be with.

One of those is hard. And you have three

We are with you!
