The Most Okay

The Most Okay

Hi, I don't know how to do all this stuff here. I've been struggling for the last 10 years without wide support due to shame, confusion, guilt, not understanding my own mental health and just straight up no motivation.

I was first diagnosed by a GP with Depression and Generalized Anxiety. Went to a Psychologist and she just wanted me to jump right into CBT which I'm sure most would agree is not fun. I stopped all supports. Then over the next 8 years I white knuckled everything. Had a breakdown, shaved all my hair off and basically quit engaging with everyday life. I was basically catatonic, stopped talking, didn't move around, look at anyone, all I did was eat and sit.

I have recently beed diagnosed with Complex PTSD and ADHD. I am 33 years old and learning about myself again. The biggest thing I'm learning is how to talk to people again because it's been so long since I've connected with someone.

I have come to the conclusion that I don't want to be happy all of the time, I just want to wake up and have the most okay day, everyday.

Re: The Most Okay

I'm sorry you've been going through this. I also have Generalized anxiety and I have complex PTSD. I wish I could help you but what I can do is say I'd be glad to be your friend. Sometimes it's easier to talk to people online rather than in person.
