Still here??

Still here??

I am amazed that I am still meeting people and posting here about all sorts of topics dear to my heart.

Its nearly 18 months, and I have been online most days, having only a few days off.

Thank you all you have responded to me or taught me about your lives and your loves and your coping methods.

Today I am tired in a lovely healthy out doorsy way.

I have finished the London based caring for psychosis course, but need to obssess less about mental health issues for a while.

I need to throw myself into my music and my new volunteering role at the zoo and try and keep level for my son.

Dont worry I will be back.

Re: Still here

They were charging big bikkies for a certificate of participation or completion, which I let go but it kind of put me off a bit .. but I guess things need to be financially viable.

Re: Still here

I meant charging for certificate for completing the UK Caring for Poeple with Psychosis course. Zoos often charge extra for special experiences. It is the new way in a world where much comes down to money and who has it or not ...

Still at it.

Music.

Zoo.

Caring.

Weird.

I think this was the thread I was looking for when I started my "Fragile thread". @Mazarita @eth @Shaz51 @Decadian @outlander @Snowie

This one is very me.

Posting a buggy foodie pic.

Re: Still here

Hi eth. Thanks for noticing my posts.

Maybe you @eth @Mazarita and @Former-Member and @utopia and @Decadian get why it took so long for me to be able to think of myself in the future.

I am calming down with cultivating a sense of dreaming ... re

past, present and future.

A bit weird ...

but I could only cringe in horror when my gung ho capitlist bro went on about reaching for your dreams. I could not enter such serious territory with his mindset.

Somehow I have needed the indigenous way .. and I dont even know if there is any koori in my genetic stock .. just in dads and my childhood orphanages.... so def family in that sense.

Anyway I am feeling a bit clearer about the whole sense of

thinking or imagining myself into my future ....

which is not a hole in the ground.

Re: Still here

Hey @Appleblossom, being able to imagine ourselves into a future is wonderful. Some years ago I was obsessed with death. Really felt like I was just marking time until then. So good to feel more positive than back then. So good to hear you do too.

Re: Still here

@Appleblossom @Mazarita It's nice to hear you both feel you have progressed and can dream of your futures I know what you mean but I'm not there yet myself. Very hard to form goals when I can't picture myself taking the steps to achieve them , or even what the steps are.

Re: Still here

@eth, I don't really have goals as such. It's more just like some optimism that life can bring contentment, even if it's not dazzling in adventure anymore. And I don't have to be always obsessed with death. I still think about it a lot, have done that for a long, long time. But it's no longer like there's nothing else, if you know what I mean. But I think it's totally understandable that you might not yet feel like you can dream for a future while you are in a limbo of irresolution about what resources might be available to you to help with that. I believe time will improve this for you regardless of the outcome of the immediate issue. Already it seems (for the most part) as though the conditions of your life have improved enormously, compared to where you were up north. Contentment is what I most seek, though I still have that bipolar restlessness in my mind too. But that restlessness leads mainly to trouble for me. Simpler joys are more my style these days, I think.
