So depressed

So depressed

Hi I'm new here. First post. I have szophrenia ( can't spell) and I have major depression. Also more recently osteo aritis in both knees.

My house is a total mess because I just want to sleep all day. I'm a single mum to a ten year old soon to be a 11 year old.

I have a Depo injection every three weeks. I haven't been taking my anti depressents either.

I have AOD issues as well. I've lost interest in church. And find every day living tasks very very difficult because of my painful knees.

My mother lived with us for a couple of years but she would verbally abuse me. And still does call me all kinds of names. Now my son does to.

Last night my son stayed with her and she did not even ask my permission. She wants to move in with us again. I'm thinking of going to rehab for three months and have someone in the church care for my son. I'm 47 years old. Were financially struggling. And I just want a job and recovery.

Re: So depressed

@noonikki22 Keep your mother out of your house and away from your son. She is an abusive toxic person who is hurting you and is damaging the relationship between you and your son.

Sounds like you have probably suffered relentless abuse from your mother during your life which has probably got a lot to do with what you are going through right now. No one is aloud to bully you, call you names, invade your boundaries, manipulate you or enter your personal space without your consent. If those healthy boundaries have been shattered by a parental figure then you need a good therapist who understands trauma and how to heal relational trauma as well as how to help you survive and step out from narcissistic abuse trap.

sorry I could not be of more help in the other stuff! Keep up the good work. Keep reaching out. Make sure you taking care of yourself every day. Find good support. As you build other healthy and stable relationships with good boundaries (therapist can help guide you) you will find that you will be happier in general (despite everything else) and your mother will loose her coercive and abusive power over you. Keep in therapy, keep taking your medication. Use your son as a motivator to keep on track and get as well as possible.
