New to schizoaffective

New to schizoaffective

Hi guys, this is just a post to say hi to anyone else living with schizoaffective disorder. My diagnosis was "upgraded" today from bipolar due to mild hallucinations. Does anyone have any advice for learning more about this disorder? How have you coped with your diagnosis?

Re: New to schizoaffective

Hello @Shaz51 I'm still fairly new on these forums so apologies for delayed reply.

I've been sick with a virus (not covid) that has been making everything harder than it should be for some time now. I'm in pretty good spirits, just exhausted. Thanks for @ ing me 🙂

I figured you probably couldn't rest in those circumstances @Shaz51 😞

Thanks @Shaz51 I'm just taking OTC painkillers, drinking lots of water and resting. It's certainly reduced my energy levels. I'm feeling a bit better today I think. Hope you are well soon.

Re: New to schizoaffective

I just wanted to say hi 👋

I'm newly diagnosed too. It has helped me to see that the diagnosis is a guide to support my needs and how to navigate with it.
