My Place

My Place

Hi guys,

I just wanted to have a thread where I could talk about things that make me happy without bothering anyone else.

So on Sunday a week ago I planted some seeds into a metal tub. Some veggie seeds. Carrots, garlic chives and although it’s not the season for it I threw in some cucumber seeds.

Well yesterday, only a week after planting I noticed my first little green shoot. Then today, there are a bunch of green shoots. Funnily enough I think it’s the cucumbers that have come up first. I may have to make a cloche to help them grow in the cooler weather. The tub is sitting on a concrete path so hopefully that will help keep the soil a bit warmer. I moved them a bit more into the sunshine today as we noticed that the carport was casting shade on them quite early in the afternoon.

I am so happy to see their green little faces pushing up from under that dark earth. Gives me hope in all things. I love to watch things grow. It makes me happy to think that I have played a part in that.

Every day I water them and have a chat with them. How are you today my seeds? I hope that you will grow soon! Now I can encourage them to grow bigger and stronger.

I can’t wait to set up my other veggie garden and grow more things. I am especially looking forward to planting my tomatoes come spring.

Re: My Place

You want things to be normal and trying to mend things but the way you said it out of nowhere made it worse, confusing and hurtful. There has been no issues between us for weeks so this caught me off guard. Not saying I don’t respect your boundary but the deliver of it hurt… @Oaktree

@ArraDreaming

I understand and I am sorry for that. Unfortunately you are not in my mind and I am not in yours

Re: My Place

Thank you @Oaktree @ArraDreaming for your willingness work through this.

I can see things from both sides, and there is learning for all of us in this.

I want to ensure there is always space to work through any potential conflicts as I'm sure we could all benefit.

I am honestly impressed with how both of you have navigated this challenge tonight. I'm not going to promise it won't happen again, but it's important we build on the skills to work through such incidents.

I'm more than willing to work through this with you, and with any other people in the future.

We're here for you both.

As much as I have context now, I didn’t earlier, and as someone who has been excluded and bullied forever and still faces exclusion… my defences went up because I didn’t understand what was happening or what I did @Oaktree

Hi y'all @tyme @Oaktree @ArraDreaming @MJG017 @Jynx

Today what makes me happy is taking time - not feeling pressured into going into my artwork. I bought a second hand book from eBay called " visual Journalling " and I think it's going to teach me with words about how to get back into artwork. Drawing. I'm pretty excited to start this. I saw it online new but I love second hand things so went on eBay and got it.

@Jynx @Oaktree @ArraDreaming @tyme @MJG017 @Jynx @Glisten @ENKELI What I like about this book is that it's secondhand. And it's in great condition

I feel like I want to tell you how to order the cheapest and secondhand books in Australia. It's going online

booko.com.au

I feel that my life has changed radically in the past year. For the positive.

I feel like I'm ready but slowly to start looking at drawing again.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream about living in a home .....all symbols made me feel there is a big white canvas of unfinished creativity in me. I don't know if I will be able to draw again but.
