Silhouettes In The Dark

Silhouettes In The Dark

I woke suddenly an hour ago, in a blanket of panick and sadness.

I can not identify any immediate 'reason' for this. Nor can I make it go away.

This happens a lot with me these days...

I am trying to "allow it to be". To "sit with these feelings" like I've sometimes heard is useful, but it feels worse to me as the minutes leak by... Usually I'm pretty good at progressive muscular relaxation, but that ain't happening what so ever today! Beyond my power.

I'm scared. I'm shaking. I'm laying on a darn wet pillow wishing to dissolve. I don't know anything anymore...

So sorry to hear this, @Kyle1, after you had been looking forward to your evening with your children last night. I hope you all had an enjoyable evening and that today lightens as you go along. Sending best wishes. 🌞

Re: Silhouettes In The Dark

Thank you, @Historylover

The evening out was good. It was bustling infact, (and I didn't mind for a change). Could not hear much of the live act (except enough to know that she was good and I wanted to hear more).

Still and all, it was a great 'vibe'. Looking around and seeing everyone sitting with partners; I did feel half like a loser and half like an imposter. But the food was great (I splurged and splashed out on a pizza - it was so very scrumptious); and the genuine joy on the children's faces at just receiving their drinks (Italian blood Orange on ice) was priceless.

We came home for dessert and a movie. By which point, ironically, I was feeling awfully lonely...

Feelings are complicated, aren't they? Like the Littmus Losenge, or paradoxical wine: to be pleased yet full of pathos at once.

Just what is this sad divinity - to be human? .....

Hello @Kyle1 that is no good. I'm sorry to hear of your distress. I use "Sapien Medicine", "Maitreya Fields", "Ankh Priest" you tube channels that have audios to eliminate anxiety, trauma and despair.

Another thing you can do is listen to solfeggio frequencies that wipe out negative energy. I think its 528hz. I turn to these when I'm at the end of my tether. Years ago I used to have daily nightmares for up to a year and wished I had this content but back in the day there was only dial-up. There are also crystals for nightmares which I heard of but have not tried.

I hope you feel better soon but you have to clear that negative energy before it keeps lingering around. I love Solfeggios as its so clearing after negative stuff.

Your emotional body may also require clearing as its where the emotional stuff is held. I learned a reiki move on how to empty the emotional body, please google. Anyone can do Reiki - you don't have to be initiated, you just draw a type symbol on both hands and place them over your third eye and the back of your head and it will drain the content out of your emotional body. I did this myself after having an emotionally trying period in my life and it felt as if I had dumped a truckload of unwanted energy.

Anyway this is what I do in my own life. Pick what resonates with you. Sending healing vibes your way ❤️

Thank you, @Former-Member

You are right: I do need to clear this negative energy. And I probably need to be a little more proactive in that direction.

I've been in a tail spin trying to make sense of it all when the reality may be there is no sense to be found in it... !

I've had some people lay hands on me in prayer, which was really effective for about a day. Reiki sounds something like this?

Re: Silhouettes In The Dark

Yes prayer, laying on hands, reiki they all work. They are subtle but have profound benefits on the physical level @Kyle1 They have been my saving grace during turbulent and stormy periods in my life!

Sometimes we think a sledgehammer approach will do the trick but these subtle things can move mountains. Here is a link to the reiki I have used. https://reikiscoop.com/sei-he-ki-reiki-symbol/ It should contain how to clear the emotions.

Another thing I could recommend is not to drink coffee as you will wind up waking up agitated and anxious in the mornings - that is what I learned from a traditional chinese doctor. I don't drink it now ❤️

Re: Silhouettes In The Dark

@Kyle1, sorry to hear you’re feeling awful this morning 🫂💖. Emotions don’t make sense and sometimes you just have to let them be. I know I wake up to the panic everyday, but your cortisol does tend to be the highest when you wake up so it makes sense. Everyone releases negative energy and self soothes in their own way, so do what works for you. Right now I’m listening to nature sounds plus piano while sitting next to my window to self soothe.

I'm pleased that you had an enjoyable evening out with your children last night, @Kyle1. It does feel like we are at odds with those around us sometimes—being solo. But it is what it is. I have learnt that being in a relationship can be as bad as being without one, so I content myself with that.

That sounds like a wonderful venue, and blood orange juice—delizioso! I tried it for the first time many decades ago. My taste buds were in shock. I didn't know orange juice could be so delicious. I haven't tasted blood orange juice since.

I'm sitting here with a large bowl of salted popcorn that I have just popped. It's overcast outside with an expected high of 18 degrees and showers. I'll be refining my assignment for days yet.

It sounds easier than it actually is, @Kyle1, but try to make the most of what you have and not yearn for what you haven't.

Have a good weekend with your children. 😎

Re: Silhouettes In The Dark

Could it be your mind bringing you back to the seriousness and sadness of your present situation, @Kyle1? I recover bit by bit from mine. I'd be fine for a while, then my reality would superimpose itself and I'd be in a state of panic, deep anguish, sadness and distress again. My depth of emotions continues to lessen little by little over time but I got sick of the roundabout, and although I am very anti-medication, I have resorted to half a tablet daily to try to equalize. It is likely your emotions will heal and lessen over time, too. Just keep plodding and let your life reconstruct itself.
