My rambling page

My rambling page

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

Terry Pratchett, Reaper Man (Discworld, #11; Death, #2

)

I got back to sleep this morning and kept waking up but couldn't move couldn't even open my eyes and then realized I was still asleep and woke up and was still frozen. It happened a few times. I am not actually sure if the last time I woke I was actually sleeping or awake but I was locked inside my own body again but slowly forced my eyelids open and I was awake.

Re: My rambling page

@Kyle1 It's Typography I had to make a lettermark logo. That was the fun bit which I had finished already but I had to do some research and put together a full report with it. I should have started with that but I just did it back to front using research to explain why I created what I did in the first place. Nothing is ever truly original anyway, always influenced by what you have already seen, so I found plenty to talk about. I've probably already done 8 hours of work today though. It's good to be able to study today. It helped trigger my meltdown yesterday but today I could get into it.

I really need to learn some yoyo tricks I'm doing it enough. Around the world, walk the dog can you think of any other tricks?

“Everything starts somewhere, though many physicists disagree. But people have always been dimly aware of the problem with the start of things. They wonder how the snowplough driver gets to work, or how the makers of dictionaries look up the spelling of words.”

Appointments are such exhausting things sometimes but they are progress, a start of the next step sometimes. I hope you are able to stay focused and not float away with the clouds. Foggy is sometimes good enough to get through. i hope you find something to enjoy or appreciate while out and about.

So what's your other assignment(s)?

That isn't a masters in yoyo, I mean...

And yes: you've had a big day already, haven't you! You're quite the early bird 🐦

“She was also, by the standards of other people, lost. She would not see it like that. She knew where she was, it was just that everywhere else didn't.”
― Terry Pratchett, Equal Rites

“The secret is not to dream," she whispered. "The secret is to wake up. Waking up is harder. I have woken up and I am real. I know where I come from and I know where I'm going.

Re: My rambling page

@Kyle1 I think people could solve the meaning of life stuff all the world's problems and have time for a cuppa if all the world talked in quotes.

Reminds me of a Star Trek episode where Picard meets a guy whose society's language is expressed totally through metaphorical language. Every expression is expressed in relation to a story or historical reference.

"That's how you communicate, isn't it? By citing example… by metaphor! Uzani's army… with fists open…"
"Sokath, his eyes uncovered!" (meant as a metaphor to comprehension)

- Picard and Dathon Some days I'm such a nerd.

Good Friday Good morning @Kyle1 I've been out to Centennial Park today and just missed the rain. Really have been hanging out with the ducks and the wading birds and the Geese - plenty of Geese. How has your morning been going?
