Bad day :(

Bad day :(

I'm having a rough day. I feel like I've been muddling through life over the last week or so ok, but tonight, for some reason, I feel like I don't want to be alive. I feel like everyone is better off without me.

Re: Bad day :(

Hi Sunshine. I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling at the moment. I understand exactly how you're feeling, I've been there, most recently just a couple of weeks ago but things are starting to get a little better for me now and I'm sure they will come good for you too.

I dont know your situation but I do know what its like to feel like a burden on the people who care about you. I'm guessing thats why you said that 'everyone is better off without me.' but your wrong. Those people love you and they would never be better off without you.

Please dont give up.

Hi @Former-Member

I hope things have improved today and you found the resources emailed to you last night helpful.

How are you travelling?

@Kalliades - really glad to hear things are starting to get better 🙂 What changed to help things improve?

Not feeling too bad @NikNik trying to stay positive!
I don't think I got any emails with any resources last night? But that's ok 🙂

Re: Bad day :(

Hi @Former-Member, Im sorry your feeling like this. I have been there many times before. It is so hard to get out of that headspace and it can be a frustrating feeling when you cant stop thinking about it.

From personal experience, I find talking to people helps when im feeling my worst. Even if you don't talk about those thoughts, but just to distract yourself for the time being.

It also may be helpful to collect some items for when you are feeling like this. Keep all your favourite things in a box and open it when your feeling down, such as chocolate, herbal tea, a face mask, your favourite nail polish, a funny movie.

But above all else just take care of yourself and realise how much the world needs you, take care.

Re: Bad day :(

@Former-Member how are you going today? Are you able to contact your support team today - I'm sure they'll be able to fit you in for an appointment this week if you let them know how terribly down your mood is.
Thinking of you and sending you support.
♥♥

Re: Bad day :(

I'm at work, trying to pretend like nothing is wrong. Nothing over the last few days have happened, but I feel like the intrusive thoughts are bad.
I actually don't have a psychologist or psychiatrist at the moment.
My psycholgist asked me to see one of her collagues because she felt she couldn't be as available as I needed, and I never ended up seeing that new person. And my psychiatrist, because I had severe anxiety about being there, told me to just go back to my GP, rather than her.

Re: Bad day :(

Hi @Former-Member,

Sorry to hear that the intrusive thoughts are bad at the moment and you feel as though you need to pretend nothing is wrong. It can certainly be hard pretending that everything is okay when you dont feel that way.

It sounds as though you are a bit unsupported at the moment...professionally speaking anyway. Do you feel as though you would like to see the psychologist that your previous psychologist gave you a referral for? How have things been since you have been seeing your GP?

Re: Bad day :(

@Former-Member. It sounds like it might be time to go back and see your gp and get a new referral to that other psychologist like @Former-Member said.
From my own personal experience - it's just too hard to do it on your own. And having the support around me has made all the difference in my recovery.
It must have hurt when your first psychologist said they couldn't help you any more. Did you want to rebel & say - bugger them - I don't need them anyhow? Or was the thought of starting over with someone new - just too hard at the tim?
I've felt both at different times.
It is important that you connect with your psychologist. You have to be comfortable to trust them and open up.
If your thoughts get worse - please call your nearest hospital and ask to talk to the Mental Health Triage Nurse.

Re: Bad day :(

Sorry @utopia and @Former-Member. I've been really down so I've been offline a bit, I'm struggling to get out what's inside. I don't know how or why I need to.

Re: Bad day :(

@Former-Member. Do you know what it is that's trying to come out? If you do - sometimes just grabbing a pen and paper and start writi about it - then other things will flow and help it all come out.
You could try that and see if it works.
If you have pent up emotions - a brisk walk or run could help. I prefer putting some rock music on and dancing like an idiot. Helos to get rid of excess energy.
I'm here if you need me
