hi
I am so sorry for your loss.
I love my cat. I love all cats.
There is little i can say in regards to their passing other than i have always taken great faith in the fact that all beings on this planet are here for a period of time. Whether a 12 day life cycle of a butterfly, or the hundreds of years of a tortise, we all have a gift of time.
When that time is over, the one thing is that we will be thought of and missed.
The fact you are feeling this way is testiment to the love you and your friend shared and know that they are better for having you in their life.
I rescued my cat out of a wall in an abandoned house at 3am by demolishing part of the wall... stray mother had kittens in ceiling and my little adventurer decided to go out discovering... lets just say she is neith little or very appreciative these days lol
...when she misbehaves (she is a vomit machine) ...i tell her she should be dead in a wall. she doesnt care. She has a great life and i am sure your beloved feline got all the love she could sustain.
I hope you feel better soon and although you may not want to hear it now... there are so many animals in this world that need our love... there will always be one waiting for you, when you are ready, that needs to be filled with the love you have to offer.
hope this helps :0)

Thank you @scout1572 - yes, death is a necessary condition of life, I've always accepted that.
Your rescue cat story is brilliant and is almost exactly the treason why I named the second cat 'Trouble' as, on the very first night of them both coming to me and despite my multiple checks to make sure the house was secure (they were both to be indoor cats and my house is large enough to support that), Trouble disappeared. Charlie disappeared anyway as he always darted to a hiding place but I could at least see him in that hiding place but Trouble was nowhere and I searched for hours.
There's always one place one wouldn't have looked due to it being an improbability that the cat would be there and that was the fireplace in my bedroom as, on the other side of the wall, was another room with a roaring fireplace going that had been alive for hours and so was giving out a great heat.
Anyway, so, I pulled away the fire guard and made a noise. And I got an answer. No noise had been made up to this point - not one single meew. He'd somehow managed to squeeze not only behind the grate but also behind the mostly closed flu and was sitting in the chimney! I had to take the grate apart to bring him out.
So he's been known as Trouble ever since and made up for his slightness and quietness by becoming the size of a small panther and meowing constantly like a small yappy dog! He is most definitely unique, as was Charlie.
Thanks for your support 🙂
PS - yes, I'm most definitely a cat person too

hi @SanSan
Thats a great story re cat and finding a space that no living organism should rightly be able to enjoy... but then cats are our overlords so who knows what they are thinking!! :0)
We found a stray kitten when we were very young and my mother had it in our laundry. It disappeared. Couldnt find it for hours. We opened a drawer and it had climbed up the back of the closed drawer and was asleep on the clean towels.
Smart. non compliant. mysterious. a cat.
I like the name trouble. Its my middle name. lol.
