Getting triggered

Getting triggered

Hi all just wondering if you know of someone that can advocate for me with my flatmate? All she does is trigger me. The latest is that she moved the outdoor table infront of the back door creating a hazard and I am now unable to use the area as intended.
she is impossible to talk to as she has no common sense and is always drunk. And it’s all about her.
things have gone down hill since we moved into the new place as she now has her own lease.

she did not pay anything towards the move, did not help clean the other house, uses my furniture and stuff and bullies and abuses me.

I have complained to the realtor already. What other options should I try? I gave her the silent treatment last night as I just couldn’t deal with her.

any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

Re: Getting triggered

You are so kind @Sirine thankyou for wishing me peace. I needed that♥️

I'm unsure if we have spoken b4. I'm forty five. Also on meds. My housemate has put me through an enormous amount of stress over last few months. Things are dramatically calmer now. He still has daily difficulties in respecting my boundaries. I am on edge due to previous events that I have not been able to reconcile. I think he is expecting that now things are calm again - I will go back to being easy going & friendly. Perhaps I would - but right now I need my own space to process & feel ok again. He is having a really big problem with being 'left out'. Part of me feels guilty & compassion for him - but I don't like being constantly pressured either.

So that is my little vent.

Please feel free to vent as much as you need. I usually won't know what to say - I will read, & try my best.

It is good to have others to talk to, I agree with you.

I think I'm getting a good idea of your housemate thru your descriptions. It really is anxiety inducing by the sounds of things.

Its good to have little things to look forward to over the next few days. Hopefully, your housemate can gain SOME insight & things won't be too bad for you to return too 🤞

Yes at 57 you deserve peace. That is all I want too.

Wishing you ☮️ peace

Merry Christmas @Sirine

Hi @Sirine I don't have any advice but wanted to add my support for you. It is such a tough place to be sitting and you do not deserve this.
