Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Okay, good I am a bit silly lol.

It would hurt then, @tyme.

You know how everyone, yourself included, talked about their MH journey and how they recovered. How do you know when that journey has begun? If you're beginning to recover, or when you know that you're at least starting? Does it begin when you're diagnosed, getting treatment or when things start improving?

Re: Tw Not Coping

Really interesting question @Birdofparadise8 . Super valid.

For me, it was the moment I really really honesty decided to make a difference.

Before that, many times I said i wanted help, but internally, I really wasn't ready.

Does that sort of make sense?

@tyme, I think I’m having them, hasn’t been all smooth. This processing is so exhausting, but I guess you have to learn to reauthor painful stories.

Re: Tw Not Coping

But how did you know that you weren't ready for help, @tyme?

I ask people for help and I either am too high risk or too low risk. I want the support and I use online services, but I don't really know what I need. I know I like feeling validated and my feelings heard in the therapy side of things.

Also, you're on the GS are you able to talk to people here and on the GS?

That is such a mature way to view it @creative_writer . Honestly, hold on to what is important to you and leave the hurtful things aside.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, I feel self-awareness has been an important part of my journey too. I think I have more self-awareness than I mid year last year, which might explain why my growth was a bit stagnant before for a while. I also agree with what @tyme said, you must be willing to make a difference.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Mmm okay @creative_writer

I know I want to make a difference and not be so depressed, yet I try so much, and it's not really doing anything.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@tyme, honestly, at the end of the day, it comes down to the one thing that kept me alive for so long, spirituality.

@Birdofparadise8, self awareness goes much deeper. Understanding your thought patterns is not easy.
