Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Tw Not Coping

Lol. Yeah, the allen tea and stoos.... they keep me going. It is so rewarding to live close to them while they are young. It's worth the 'sacrifice' now. I won't do it forever. @Captain24

I know I'll move away once they hit their teens.

The way they say words often sticks too @tyme. One of my past friends son used to say headnache. I still say it.

You will miss them when you leave!

What do you have planned for tomorrow?

I haven’t eaten dinner yet but if there was a bag of picnics I’d be tempted 😂

Re: Tw Not Coping

TW: SA

Hopsiple (hospital) and spahetti (spaghetti) are also common ones lol @Captain24 .

As for living in this house I'm in, it's really only for the kids. Once they are older, I do plan on moving out. I will miss them. But by the time they are older, I doubt they would wan't much to do with me.

Another thing, I'm not sure if I've mentioned, my brother-in-law (who is a great guy) did live a life of drugs - not because it was a 'bad' guy, but because he was SA'd as a child. The drugs gave him time 'out'. He is clean now, but on antipsychotics as he has pretty much destroyed his brain.

Why I'm sharing is that this is one of the reasons I moved close to my sister. She really needed to help with three kids as there are no other family around to help. Both sets of parents are interstate.

So sometimes, after work or just before work, I shower the kids, feed them, read to them, dress them.

My brother-in-law is a great guy (honesty), but limited. He adores his wife and his kids, but can only do so much.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Wow @tyme.

Thank you for sharing your story.

It makes so much sense why you are so involved now but want to give space later. It shows what a kind hearted nature you have. You are a beautiful person.

Re: Tw Not Coping

It's been tough @Captain24 .

Yet I also respect and honour my sister for not choosing the 'richest' 'most settled' 'able' person. But instead, saw through the difficulties of my brother-in-law; she saw his soft heart and how he had been hurt; she saw his gentleness, his honesty and his sincere kindness.

I honestly have not met such an honest and gentle man in my life.

Hence, I feel I owe it to my sister to support her best I can - oh, and she does cook for me LOL!

Re: Tw Not Coping

And so she should cook for you! @tyme 😂

She obviously went with her heart and could see the man behind the hurt. That’s a testament to her. Also for him to come through to the other side shows strength and determination

The kids are lucky to have so many great people in their lives

Yet we are also very mindful that he may relapse at any time @Captain24 .

Not that he would go back to drugs, but the psychosis side of things due to the damage done.

Re: Tw Not Coping

If he does relapse than he has the right family to help him through @tyme
