Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Ah, don’t worry @Birdofparadise8 🌺🙂

better to know now than at presentation.
a guide I used to tell my students was around 350-400 (max) words for 3 mins.
it might be helpful to transform the 800 down into summary points of keywords, then speak very succinctly - what do you think? 💜🌺🙂

Re: Not Coping

Thanks heaps @Birdofparadise8 💜🙂🌺

it’s not easy, but it does the job 😉🙌🏻

Yes, I’m familiar with the type of equipment used to treat variations types of apnoea including those related to sleep apnoea..I used to work with the specialists who look after people with severe breathing problems (anything from sleep related to spinal cord and brain issues with breathing). 🙂💜

Right okay @Former-Member

I don't know how I will get this down.

They literally want a lot in there.

Re: Not Coping

Ah okay.

Are you still using it now?

Wait, so like the machine breaths out for you, ask, well?

Re: Not Coping

Yes - it’s very challenging to summarise what are all very important points @Birdofparadise8 🌺🙂
the method I use is to summarise, then summarise again, then do again - instead of trying to chop out elements all at once.
then, I would read it to make sure it’s conveying the main points critical to my delivery topic 💜🌺

Re: Not Coping

MMm, okay, I just don't know how I can. I already have cut a bit, and it's about 5 ish minutes long, and that's me reading fast-ish.

I feel like I'll have nothing to say if I cut out more ah @Former-Member

As long as I upload the presentation, it's fine. I'll write an email tomorrow and ask what points we do and don't have to say.

Hey don't put yourself down @ArraDreaming

You know in year 11 I would have never thought of going to uni. I was studying to be a chef, and at the same time I was doing one level three (which you need to do five to get an atar) anyway it was on nutrition, and I really enjoyed it. Now, with COVID, the uni in Hobart was doing the school recommendation program, and I got into the diploma of university studies health science. and now the rest is history I moved over here last year and I'm in second year, but after this sem I'll only have to do three units as long as I pass everything because I got credit transfer.

So if you put your mind to it, you could too if you wanted to.

I'm not kidding. Teachers would tell me I would never go to uni. I wasn't smart enough.

When I was choosing my year 12 subjects, the learning coordinator wanted me to do the level one cooking class, not the level three nutrient class, which is all theory, where I had done the level two cooking and nutrition class and got an A. She said I wouldn't be able to do well I proved here wrong I got most Bs and few and and a c on the exams. They were my downfall. I always struggle with exams.

Re: Not Coping

Yep 🙂🌺

it does exactly that, @Birdofparadise8 🙌🏻😉

when I can’t do any breathing sufficient to create enough oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange at the alveoli, this machine literally pushes air in, pauses, then draws it out - it is set to a particular volume and rate, without which I wouldn’t get enough gasses exchanged to maintain decent blood oxygen levels. Pressure settings are secondary and inconsequential to the right volume (depth of breath) and rate (how many breaths a minute) for someone of my size, when calculating oxygen metabolism throughout cells (cellular respiration).
