Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Not Coping

Okay, good to know. @ENKELI

Nice I hope you enjoy it.

My mum made it last week when she was here. It was nice.

Oh no, I wouldn't either.

Lol, when don't I compare myself. Hahaha. It's bad.

I don't know why I have all these bad feelings popping by now.

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 because sweetie, you have conditioned yourself to think negative thoughts due to your bullying.

It's much easier to be negative than it is positive. It's a matter of retraining your thinking, which is what CBT teaches you.

As soon as you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts you stop and ask yourself "is this thought helpful? Will this feeling make me feel good or sad?"

It takes practice but it will help you in the long run.

We all feel sad and unloved/unworthy at times but if we can change our mindset it will become less and less that we feel sad

Re: Not Coping

Yeah, I know @ENKELI

It's just hard. I also have to think about that on top of already thinking about the negative. If you see where I'm going. It's a lot to think about.

I'm sorry, I hope it's okay I've said that.

@Birdofparadise8 bedtime for us here in about half an hour or so I’m just cleaning the house, just wanted to check in while I’ve got a minute and see how you were going after the last few days? Some tricky conversations were had so just making sure you’re feeling a little better?

Re: Not Coping

Hey @ArraDreaming

Thank you. Yeah, I was much better last night after that conversation ended. I think a bit was said, but we didn't all agree.

Yes, I've accepted what's happened. I was just trying to share what my psych said.

How was your day? I hope you were okay with the work in the end. I saw your post about it.

All good intentions though mate, nothing anyone was said done outside of a place of care @Birdofparadise8

Yeah it was a good day in the end I just get anxious sometimes before work but my Mrs was really helpful last night

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 you're not thinking of all this on top of the negative thoughts, as soon as you have a negative thought you stop yourself.

Thinking negatively has become a habit and you find comfort in the negative thoughts because it's "normal", it's what you are used to thinking.

Until you change your mindset you will always feel the same.

You didn't learn to walk or talk in one week, it's the same with changing your negative thought patterns.

Do you have your driver's licence? If so, did you just go take the test and get your licence without any lessons? Same principle, as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day 🥰
