What do you have to look forward to? What are you excited for?

What do you have to look forward to? What are you excited for?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to create another positive thread and talk with all of you about the things you are looking forward to. I love using the forums, I think they are well moderated and nearly all the people who talk with me on here are very kind and very encouraging people.

So I will start off by saying that I am very excited and looking forward to seeing my best friend when she arrives back in Australia from a 11 month holiday in Sweden with her family. I have not seen my best friend for 11 months and 2 days, and on the 14th of November she will be back in Australia. However, I may not see her on the 14th as she may be in Sydney when she gets back. Nonetheless, I do miss her and I do look forward to seeing her when she gets back.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you. Perhaps we all have things to look forward to!

No I don't have bandicoots @Shaz51 I live in built-up suburbia. But we had two sorts of bandicoots living under the house when i was a kid. We were in a country town.

I don't really have much to look forward to at the moment - except seeing some family at Xmas.

Hey @PositivePossum6 some of my seeds failed but all in all happy for the result. I won't be building a greenhouse, just getting an easy to assemble one from Bunnings! I'm not that sophisticated yet

Good morning @PositivePossum6 !

Just catching up on some posts from yesterday and saw yours here. Another great post and lovely words from you.

I'm so happy for you that you'll be soon reuniting with your best friend. It will be so good to catch up with her.

I caught up with a friend yesterday. I was looking forward to it so much as she's had a baby and I had only seen him once when he was a newborn. When I visited yesterday we had a good time catching up and playing with her baby, who's now 14 months old. He's the happiest baby I've ever met with the cutest personality.

My oldest son is soon leaving for Japan where he'll work for 6 months and I'm very much looking forward to planning a visit to him at some stage while he's there. I have a friend who lives in Japan so will see her while I'm there too.

Warmest wishes

Hanami

Good morning @hanami,

My very good friend Kylie's sister has also just had a baby. The baby's name is Ayla and Kylie loves her very much.

Your trip to Japan is something very wonderful and I can just imagine how excited you must be to attend this trip. I have never been to Japan but I am sure that it is a stunning and beautiful country full of lovely people. I am happy for you. It will be great for you to see your son in Japan.

I am now excited for Bob Woodwards new book called Peril, I just placed my order on Amazon and I am very looking forward for my book to arrive in the mail. Woodward is one of my favorite writers among many. I read his other book called Rage, which covered Trump's presidency. This was a very enjoyable book. And then of course the new Pokemon games are fast approaching and will release very soon --- I am very excited for the new Pokemon games.

Hi @PositivePossum6

It's funny you mention Pokemon because that's how my son's obsession with Japan all began when he was a little boy. He loved everything Pokemon! I had to buy all the figurines for him for birthdays and Christmas. He's been to Japan for holidays before so he should fit in just fine. He speaks some Japanese too. We've been twice before and yep it's a gorgeous country with very polite and lovely people.

Anytime I think of Japan I think of the cherry blossom trees. How lovely they are.

Also, the architecture is especially unique and elegant. The architecture is very lovely to look at I think.

Hi @PositivePossum6

I just wanted to reach out to say thank you so much for creating such a thought provoking thread 💜

In my experience, having a best friend is such a special relationship and as such, I can really appreciate how excited you’re feeling in relation to your upcoming reunion! With this in mind, I just wondered if there’s anything in particular that you’re looking forward to doing together when she returns home?

I’m looking forward to a few things, but one of them funnily enough involves my hair!

A few months ago, I had my hair cut and it was during this time, that my hairdresser told me that I actually have curly hair! This came as such a surprise to me, as what I thought was a natural ‘kink’ is apparently a wavy curl 🤣

As such, I’m looking forward to having my hair cut next month, as during this appointment, my hairdresser is going to use some different products and a diffuser (a gadget that you attach to the end of your hairdryer) to show me what my hair will look like when it’s curly - which I can’t wait to see 😊

Thank you so much again for creating such a wonderful thread 😊

Take kind and gentle care of yourself,

ShiningStar 💜

Thanks for creating this thread @PositivePossum6!

I have loved reading what everyone is looking forward to 🙂

I am looking forward to my next psychologist appointment on Wednesday - I always find myself counting down the days until my appointments!

I am also looking forward to some books I have reserved arriving at the library.

I'm excited to hear what else our lovely members are looking forward to!
