Who is really answering

Who is really answering

Hi all

I’m just wondering about people on this forum. Lots of very sensible supportive answers from fellow “apparent” mental health sufferers. Are they actually psych workers?

No. Just bcos you hv a mental illness duznt mean that you’re not capable of logical thinking, giving advice or a point of view, caring or articulating oneself well. Many people with mental health issues have high intelligence.

@perspective I’m actually an elephant in disguise…

Fellow paranoid person here, I once got frustrated at the umpteenth mental health worker who claimed to be “not like other mental health workers”, to which I responded “if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck”. To this day I call therapy speech “quacking”. But I can be a bit crabby sometimes! Too much time spent in psych wards.

That’s pretty funny. I’m getting on in years and have spent decades listening to shrinks. I’m now with a new one after my last one retired. Anyway I’m telling her my side of the story and she going ye, ye. Then she tells me I’m sick even though what I’m talking about has been proven in a court case.
so I’m kind of at a cross roads I rang a friend and she said , what right have they to tell you what your story is?
thing is I’m not a self harmer and I’m not going to hurt anyone so does it really effing matter that occasionally I decide not to like certain people? I’m actually at an age where I’m kind of leaning into my paranoid perceptions and if I’m wrong the world won’t end. These people errrrrr
