Introductory TW: Suicide aftermath

Introductory TW: Suicide aftermath

I am Katalina7 I was in a mental Health section for 2 weeks then 104 days. It is a long story but I saw the aftermath of a young boy who died by suicide at work. I was a Manager where I had to open the Centre up, I parked not far from the body did not see him. He was in the Centre hiding for 2 weeks. I was so upset seeing him laying on the ground. I then had people following me even in the car that is when they put me in the mental health section. The Doctors took all tests and blood tests that is when they found the cancer so the young boy saved my life. That is only part of my life in the last 2 years.

Yes, managing with mental health on top of poor physical health can be very debilitating @Katalina7

And yes, your comment about your children being remind me of that Cat Stevens song, Cats in the cradle. Do you know that one?

you said you have been attending meetings and talking to people, have you tried joining a community group that is not centred around mental health? Sometimes they can be a really nice space to meet people and connect, but the focus is not on mental health. This might be a nice way for you to meet some people and build your support network in a roundabout and fun way. I read a few weeks ago, there was a basket weaving group in my town. It was set up by a couple of indigenous elders and they opened it up to everyone. I have been thinking I would really like to go. Maybe your town has something like this?
