Good Ideas thread

Thanks for the thought, I really appreciate your enthusiam , but...

To be honest I think it is really important to have each individual member's permission to use their posts in the project, and also SANE's permission seeing as they are the forum's "owner". I simply wouldn't feel ok about using anyone's posts without their express permission.

I'd like to use a nom de plume for each person (whether their forum name or something else, I don't mind) so that individual journeys can be related/told.

So I think we're going to need to be a bit patient, and clearly you struggle with that as much as I do!

PS I think we need @NikNik's help to get both your post & mine moved to the good ideas thread, & any suggestions for asking all of the others on LE forum, as well as the folk on the carer's forum, please Nik?

I'd be happy to move your posts to the 'Good Ideas Thread'. @Loopy is that right by you? Another option would be to continue this discussion by clicking through to this link from hereon to not throw this conversation of track.

Regarding compiling posts: While I love your idea @Loopy, I'm not 100 percent certain of the legalities of this. My understanding is that though this a public forum, members sign up with an understanding of how their posts will be used in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. Within this, SANE is restricted to reproducing posts only if it for the purpose of public health and medical research. My suggestion, Loopy, would be to follow this up by contacting the team@saneforums.org for more information.

I wonder if the ones from @Loopy , @Alessandra1992 , @Maude & myself need to be moved there too? Or maybe even a new thread altogether. Maybe the rest of you could "like" this for moving it to the existing good ideas thread, or post a reply if you think we should set up a seperate one.

If we cannot do this within the forum/rules, and enough of us are keen to go ahead with it I'm sure something could be worked out, facilitated by SANE so that it might be possible. It would certainly be a powerful message.

I moved your discussion about the posts and making a book to here as suggested by Kristin. I also thought I'd move it mean time so it wouldn't throw the other conversation of track. Let me know if that works, otherwise, I'm happy to move it to a new thread.

BTW the mention function is seriously playing up tonight. I reckon it can't be very robust. As a guess the more users active on the forum at any one time the more it plays up!

I've aslo noticed the '@' mention feature playing up. The '@' dissappears before the name? Very peculiar. I'll log this with IT. I suspect that it's another bug the software developers will need to work on.
