Good Ideas thread

Hi all,

I'm just kicking this off so we can have all the good ideas pinned in one spot. Problem is I don't know quite how to do it! @NikNik can you help please? I think that @kato 's idea about charging for advertising should be here. (But I can't find it )

I think we should have the Book review idea here too - was that yours @Uggbootdiva ? Or was it NikNik? (PS Not so sure about rating with cats rather than stars, maybe penguins?)

I thought that was another great idea, can't remember who had it - for our mascot to be penguins. It was @Harry ! and that is here http://saneforums.org/t5/Enjoying-time-with-others/Talking-about-pets/td-p/1743/highlight/true/page/2

So roll up rool up and post your wonderful and varied ideas for the forum right here.

I guess you could count likes as a bit of a vote for in favour of the idea too @NikNik ?

I know it is early days but would it be possible for SANE to have a forums get-together? Obviously not compulsory to come (some may prefer to stay anonymous, and the travel may be prohibitive for others) but for those of us like Loopy who would like to meet the others it would be wonderful!

So what do you think?

I am wondering if we could follow each other? As there are so many O sts and topics I can't keep up with all of them. I do however like to follow specific contributors as they always have something interesting to say, which might start in one post and then pop up in another discussion. @loopy, @kristin, @uggbootdiva,@justanother47yr,@kato, @chemonro,@kenny66,@jake,@harry..to name but a few..@butterflygirl..
The @function doesn't work at all from my phone and there is so much going on I can't keep across the depth and breadth of the discussions..

I wonder if the sotware has that functionality available?

I see what you mean about the @ function not working on your phone. How very frustrating!

@NikNik I would think it would be a user created glossary with forum mgr moderation.

Hey @Loopy, great idea to gather all the posts on this forum and publish a book about the facts, thoughts and feeling of people suffering the effects of a MI.

NOT a stupid idea at all - well worth a thought. You can use my name.

kristin, I have been a little naughty. I have started to gather the posts in a "Word" document. Once I have compiled them I will send it to the Sane site for your perusal and edit, throw away or whatever. once completed I will delete any reference of the doc. I hope i have not overstepped the mark. I have not included any names with the posts at all but if you wish or decide I can easily include them as a preface or postscript. It may well be about 70-90 pages long. All comments "feared" but welcome from all on the forum. I was also thinking that maybe the carers forum may wish to have their own section.

Open "all hours" for suggestions, nothing rude, please.
