Have you looked at a boarding house. Own room. Probably share kitchen, bathroom but own room. Cheap rent. Darlinghurst, Sorry Hills have plenty.

Oh. I'm sorry

I'm new to this. I'm in Sydney. Is sane Australia wide? You may be able to become a carer for an elderly or disabled person. Live in carer. You may find your compassionate side!? Bathing, cooking, shopping!? Stop stressing. Think of giving. I'm sure you'd be great of it. "THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT IS LOVE". You will be rewarded with a home and free or cheap rent. All of Australia's doing it tough financially. Good luck. Keep asking for ideas.

Re: Stressing out

hi @Leeanne have you considered applying for rental assistance from the government? i believe they pay up to $150 a week for private renters who are struggling with paying rent.

Also places like Anglicare, The salvation Army and the Red Cross can assist with some finances like food vouchers, and help with paying bills such as power and water and phone bills.
