Loneliness

Loneliness

  • I was listening to ABC RN live radio this morning about how difficult it can be for young people to make friends. The same is for old people, in fact, I think it is harder as you get older. They talked about shallow conversations and deep conversations. People who had deep conversations were more likely to feel connected and enjoy the experience more. I have found that people are scared to have deep conversations and people are more interested in their mobile phones. I feel very alone most days. How do you feel? Is it easy or hard for you to start a conversation?

Re: Loneliness

Yes, @Max33, I did know. In fact, I chanced upon medical lectures quite some time ago. I am self-taught and was, effectively, in a class of medical students and doctors. I was astounded, so never underestimate the ability of the self-taught.

I hope you will be able to get back to some pursuits of interest to you, @Max33. It will lift your spirits. Just take it in small doses to start with.

Best wishes to you, too,
