I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

9 hrs at the hospital and still in extreme pain. Feeling really really low

@Captain24 That is too long to wait. Hope you get seen soon and get some improvement. All I know with back stuff ... it is tricky. Is it the first time your back has played up like this?

That’s the healthcare system in the country @Appleblossom !

I’ve had a bad back before but this is the worst it has been as I’ve had numbness in the feet and lower leg. The doctor thinks it maybe the medication I’m on and I need to have a proper examination by my GP.

I just feel like everything is going wrong. I just can’t catch a break.

Has the ED told you how much longer?

Numbness can indicate more of a problem than pain. Sounds delicate. Mostly I manage mine by physio, movement and gentle stretches. Its hard. Meds can complicate things.

So I can’t get into a physio or a Chiro. Gotta love country towns. The pain is still pretty bad but the needle did give me a good nights sleep. The pain is keeping me feeling low.

Glad you slept well @Captain24 . I can understand the pain keeping you low. Will you be able to see a physio any time soon?

2 weeks is the earliest @hanami . I’ve got some heavy duty anti-inflammatories so hopefully that helps. They have put it down to the rapid weight gain from the anti-psychotics.

Oh that sucks! A good friend of mine is in a similar situation. She has bad back from weight gain from anti-psychotics. It's unfair that to get better you will have potential side effects. Hopefully the heavy duty anti-inflammatories really help. I find heat pack are helping mine and I've just ordered a hand held back massager too.

I see the psychiatrist on Thursday and the plan is to change meds hopefully @hanami . I’m feeling really really dark and having bad thoughts, so I don’t think they are working anyway.

I have a back massager that I’ve been using and I’ll have a hot salt bath this afternoon.

I'm sorry to read you are struggling at the moment. We are sitting here with you - hopefully if you do change your meds they will be a much better fit for you.

A hot salt bath sounds like a good idea - hopefully it will help you relax a bit.
