Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

I’m laying in bed with Pixie snoring, sleeping deeply as she does. She just jumped up and glared at me! Why? Because I burst out laughing with the ‘who’s doing wees’ that is priceless! @tyme

hahahaha! And when you are in toilets, it sort of echoes, so I had to wash her hands and rush her out of the toilets before the other person opened the door to the cubicle to see who it was @Captain24 !

Having kids means you have no more privacy. It's all out there. And these are not even my kids!!!

Lol, I'm sure Pix will enjoy that one too.

They just have no filter @tyme. Just to rub salt into the wound my brother never out grew it!

Im going to try and go to sleep. Thank you so much for distracting me from my diagnosis today.

Also I’m going to sleep knowing I do have a couple of things that I am able to feel pride in! Thanks to the PGC

Have a safe trip home tomorrow.

See you tomorrow

We will chat tomorrow at some point 🙂

Re: I can’t cope

I went to an event on Wednesday, that turned out to be really positive, even though I had an anxiety attack before I went. Then I had a positive chat last night. Both have made me look at myself from a different perspective.

I am still a little shaken from my new ED diagnosis yesterday. But in general I am actually feeling ok today. It’s a nice change.

Hey @Captain24

So lovely to hear from you today.

I am so glad that you're feeling good today, it's the little things that make us feel better sometimes. I loved having you in our Peer Group Chat last night, I am so glad it made you feel a little bit better.

You have a lot to be proud of for yourself!!

Sending you hugs today,

Amber22

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @amber22

How are you?

Lately everything has been negative. All

my posts have been negative. My life has been negative. Work has been negative. I even had to take a night off because I just couldn’t face it and that was only Tuesday this week. I’ve struggled with urges to end everything.

The session on Wednesday was about our strengths. We had to do a VIA survey before we went. I did answer most things negatively but it still ranked from positive to negative.

We focused on the top 5. Mine were honesty, it didn’t say brutal honesty though 😂. Fairness, kindness, humility and perseverance. We also had to discuss overplaying them and underplaying them. I mostly underplay them. But it was eye opening to see that I do actually have some strengths and that they are really good ones. I made me feel like I can be a good person.

Then last night it allowed me to see things that I’m able to take pride in. I think the session on Wednesday helped. It helped me to be able to see some achievements in my life. I also take pride in what the survey listed as strengths.

Go me!!

I do have an appt with my CM this afternoon though and she will probably focus on my ED diagnosis. So that will be a little difficult.

Hey @Captain24

I'm so sorry to hear that everything has been really challenging for you recently, but that just goes to show how things can start to look up very quickly when positive things start to happen to us. I'm glad you were able to take the night off when you needed to, recognising when you need to stay home rather than force yourself out is a really good thing.

I am so glad that Wednesday made you feel better, and that's so interesting to know as well!!

And you definitely have so much to be proud of from last nights PGC chat, I'm so glad you were able to make it and that it made you feel a lot better.

I know you aren't feeling good about your CM appointment this afternoon, but just see how you go. It could be better than you anticipate, and you've been doing so well recently.

Sending you lots of hugs

Thanks @amber22 @Snowie

I’m sitting here waiting for her now. It’s the first time I have seen my old case manager in 3 1/2 months. So much has happened in that time. I have really let her down.

She is a quite a straight shooter so it’s going to be interesting.
