I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

I’m really scared my appt tomorrow isn’t going to go well. But I guess that’s my problem. Everyone else’s problems are so much worse. I guess mine is minor in comparison.

50 years ago today they pulled all the troops out of the Vietnam War. So today across Australia and a couple of other countries, at 11:00 they had a small service at all the grave sites of those that lost their lives fighting for our country. @tyme.

My uncle is a war hero. He was one of them that paid the ultimate price for our country.

Wow! @Captain24 Thank you for sharing! That must be so significant. It truly amazes me when I read stories of the war. I've been reading a book called Inside out and back again. I felt so connected with the whole book. About the war in Vietnam and how it affected the Vietnamese.

Here's a link to a PDF I just found. It's a really easy read. Only a few words in each chapter.

We have another Vietnam Vet thing to go to on the 18th. It’s at a village about an hr away. So there is a larger pile of family going to that one.

Also the local RSL club are doing a display as the entry featuring my uncle and the other guy from town that didn’t make it either.
