Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

I’m definitely a dog person @Shaz51. They are hard work but at least when you go away you can take them too.

Haha yep little snappy warnings @Captain24 - I know when Trixie is pissed at me cos I'll hear the little sound of her mouth opening. But never a bite, just a warning. So I guess one must let sleeping cats lie too!

Re: I can’t cope

I think I mentioned before... I'm not too fond of cat. I have to say I'm a dog person. @Jynx @Captain24 . I saw this HUGE dog that I fell in love with the other day. It was so big, brown and shaggy, it looked like a bear!!!

I'm so much of a softie and wouldn't be able to own one though because I know they have a lot of health issues and don't live very long....(hip issues, eyesight, hearing). They age very quickly.

I'd love to just be able to hug one though!

Cats.... I'm scared of them. They seem to know that and pounce on me when I least expect it.

Re: I can’t cope

They like to let us know when they aren’t impressed @Jynx

2 totally different breeds @Shaz51! Have you ever thought of getting another pet?

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah I’m not a fan of cats either @tyme. I’ve never really had much to do with them.

That dog sounds adorable. I’m scared of big dogs so I would never have one. They do age quickly and it is so sad to watch. That’s why I try and give Pix the best life I can.

Re: I can’t cope

The dog seriously looked like a bear!!!! @Captain24 It was totally saying, "cuddle me"... but i could see it had difficulty walking. That breaks my heart.

Does Pix bark a lot? That's the part that steers me away from the smaller, yappier dogs. I think I'm very sensitive to noise. Have I ever told you that I don't tend to watch things with sound? It is on the lowest and I have the subtitles on.

Re: I can’t cope

Not really @tyme. She only barks if a car drives past, if someone walks past, if the dog next door is barking, if she can hear a dog barking 5 kms away. Oh and heaven forbid someone comes to the door! Lol.

I couldn’t watch things with subtitles! I can listen to music but not really loud and I don’t have the tv very loud. But other than that I don’t do noise really well either.

Re: I can’t cope

Maybe it's because I've lived alone for so long? So for me, I'd rather read than watch something e.g a new article @Captain24

I have to use subtitles or I actually don't understand what I'm watching!

I remember my listening exams when I was in high school. The teacher read something out, and we had to answer questions. I ALWAYS did very poorly. I just couldn't 'get' it without seeing it.

OMG! I did listening exams in English too. @tyme. However I always got 100%. I was so happy when it was part of the English exam for the HSC. It meant I could then concentrate more on maths and physics
