I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @Captain24

A circuit breaker trip sounds good and I hope it is nice for you. The hospital is a good place to be if you are in need of a bit of support. I know it has served me well staying in the hospital when I need it but you don't often appreciate it at the time. It is always there as a backup for us all who need it from time to time. Try not to put too much expectation on your trip and the outcome and what will happen afterward. Enjoy it and put your mind in that place while you have the opportunity to change your environment for a few days. I know I really benefited from that mindset since I have started going away on trips recently.

Yes @Shaz51 Bipolar 2. Severe anxiety and social phobia

Im going to the coast @RiverSeal and it should be a little warmer than the 10 degrees feels like 3 that we have here today. I love the ocean and so does my dog. So I’m hoping that by walking along it and just watching it should take my mind of things. Even if it’s just while I’m there.

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @RiverSeal. I hope so too.

I was diagnosed in July @Shaz51. The psychiatrist is still playing around with meds to find what works best.

The previous visit she increased my antidepressant/ anti anxiety. She thinks that’s what has put me in this really low mood. The last visit she decreased it and increased my antipsychotic and mood stabiliser. I don’t think it’s work though. She is going to change the antipsychotic if it doesn’t work but she would rather I was in hospital. Hence this trip trying for a circuit breaker.

my husband has been taking off the anti anxiety medication @Captain24

they decreased the antidepressant medication but he was been awake all night and day so he has gone back to taking to full dose again and is feeling tired all the time again

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24, I hope you find the right balance of meds soon. I know it’s frustrating waiting, but it is possible.

Re: I can’t cope

I just got home from dinner at mums. They still haven’t asked me about my illness. I’m not sure I want them to though.

When I go away I usually like my house spotless. But this time it’s not. It shows me how deep down I am. I’m still so broken and even more now my house isn’t clean.

Will this ever pass? I have to just hold on until tomorrow
