I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Hey @tyme

The meeting went really well. It was basically a tick and flick. It took all of 20 mins. I’m cleared for full duties. They just requested that I update them with med changes and that I monitor any changes in my condition.

I also have to have a monthly catch up with one of them for the next few months.

Then I got to work!!!

Actually, today, I'm a little tired @Captain24 . I haven't been able to sleep until the early hours of the morning. It's okay, but I know I'll have a GOOD sleep tonight, so I'm not really fussed.

So what are your shifts this weekend?

I totally get the tried thing @tyme. Have you had something on your mind to not be able to sleep?
I do hope you sleep well tonight.

I work day shift tomorrow and Sunday. I’ve taken the nightshifts off for nans funeral.

All the best with the funeral @Captain24 . I recognise it will so so tough, yet hold onto those precious memories you have of her. These cannot be taken away from you.

As for work, it sounds like such a relief! I actually feel it in my own body. Like a pressure cooker waiting to pop. Now finally, the pressure has been released 🙂

It is going to be hard and it’s hard working and not being able to be there at the moment for my family. But with what’s happened at work it’s for the long term and I need to consider my future. It sounds selfish but in this instance I need to be.

I actually don't think it is selfish at all @Captain24 . In order for you to be mentally strong and well for your family, you needed to go back to work. Do you get my drift?
