Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

You are such an inspiration @Snowie - you are so strong.

What are you having for dinner tonight?

I'm having noodles with wontons. I made pork and prawn wontons a few weeks ago. So we are having them today. Oh, and with veges too.

I'm also starting my 'meal prep' tonight for the week. Hopefully I get somewhere!

Re: I can’t cope

Im so sorry you are having a hard day too @Snowie

Im glad you got to go back to bed @tyme. I hope you got some well deserved sleep. They should be back at school soon, so that might give you a break. Lol

Yes I did go out for brekkie but it didn’t feel as good as the other day. It was a struggle. But I guess I can say I did it.

I did spend most of the day in bed after though.

Re: I can’t cope

I don't feel strong @tyme the exact opposite. But I do find being on here does help a bit.

Ohh I love wontons, and so do my kids. We are having mashed potatoes, vegies and meat tonight. Getting a healthy meal in before the kids go back to school.

Well done on getting your meal prep started. I find it is easier to plan for the week too, makes it easier especially when I have had struggle days and can't be bothered cooking.

@Captain24 well done for going out for breakfast, that is certainly a win.

Bed sometimes helps and keeps us that bit safer too.

Re: I can’t cope

It's Sunday @Captain24 . It's okay to be in bed.

Since you return to work on Friday, have you thought about shopping, meal prepping etc?

Re: I can’t cope

I definitely prefer homemade wontons than shop ones @Snowie @Captain24 - they are yummy!

I'm watching the kids eat. They are so cute.

These are the years I know I wont get back and that's why I'm spending more time with them. It IS a sacrifice though!!!

Re: I can’t cope

@tyme I make homemade dumplings with my kids too. They love them the best. We normally make pork ones the most.

My oldest goes back to school tomorrow so will have to get used to doing the school run again!

Re: I can’t cope

Good on you for meal prepping @tyme and teaching the kids.

I’ve never had wontons. I’ve lived a sheltered life. Lol

I’ll make zucchini slice either Wednesday or Thursday for the day shifts and have it with salad.

I have dinner in the freezer for the night shifts. Rissoles and veggies. I did them last week in case I was able to go back.

I’ll have steak and salad for dinner when I get home. I just have to do all the shopping! Lol.

I just need to sort out Monday-Thursday!

Ive eaten so much comfort food that I need to sort myself out better. food and life.

Do they enjoy cooking?

Re: I can’t cope

Sounds good @Captain24 !

Someone gave me two meals today.

So you are not going to your folks for dinner tonight?

@Snowie , argh.. the school run starts tomorrow. My oldest niece is going to school to so we are just running around preparing lunchboxes, uniforms etc. It's so hard to make lunchboxes... the food always comes back... but my sis doesn't give her kids any junk though. I've seen lunchboxes which are full of cakes, chocolates and biscuits. I think all the sugary food really affects kids at school. Do you find lunchboxes hard to prepare?

Re: I can’t cope

@tyme I don't do lunch boxes anymore. My kids are 15 and 17 so are old enough to do it themselves. If they don't then they go hungry at school!! I just make sure that my pantry has plenty of snacks and I always have fresh bread/rolls. They are pretty self sufficient so that is good for me.

When they were little I used to do their lunch boxes all the time. I normally used to make sure they had a sandwich, a piece of fruit and then a little treat.

Re: I can’t cope

My parents think I’m at work on nightshift @tyme!

I have to leave the house at 9:50 and come back at 11 tonight. So I’m not here when they drop Pix off.

You're so lucky to have food dropped off.

I never ate what was in my lunch box. I just use to throw some out so it looked like I ate it. @tyme @Snowie
