Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 do you ever get frustrated by your ADHD brain jumping from task to task. Like I start something but then get distracted by another thing and it's just constant. I find myself trying to do like 5 things at once and find myself completely overwhelmed.

Re: I can’t cope

Any inspection I’ve had I have just cleaned and packed things away. Mostly they just wanted to see that there was no damage. It’s a lot of stress for a 10 minute walk around. @MissGremlin I wouldn’t stress to much

I don’t listen to music a lot, only in the car. My mood won’t allow me to sing. I usually just tune out.

I do get frustrated which is why I have a list plus the autism needs structure and a list. The adhd side is all over the place. I get overwhelmed by being erratic. But then I get overwhelmed with the structure, the adhd doesn’t like it but the autism does.

I think that was confusing but my brain is really confusing. One fights against the other

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 the house is mostly done anyway, it's just a general tidy up and the lawns need to be done.

See that's where I struggle, I can't follow lists as I bounce all over the place. Like I need routine but not in the same order everytime. I was just doing so many things at once then forgetting what I was doing, I'd served my dinner up then forgot I had and was hanging the washing up so now my food is cold. I was doing the washing, dishes, cooking, cleaning the bench and table off and trying to do diamond art in between. I couldn't stay focused on one task. Now I've sat down and I just feel like everything has crashed but my heart is pounding, like everything inside is racing. I'm safe, trying to eat my dinner.

Re: I can’t cope

That sounds good @MissGremlin just those shitty lawns.

Hen I notice myself getting overwhelmed with starting and not finishing tasks and jumping from one to another. I stop. Take a breath give myself a moment and the work out what to finish first. It’s taken practice but also I’m medicated and I am very self aware. Really in tune with what’s going on. Everyone is different and this is where I go back to my list and reset and start again.

I finished that section!

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 well done for finishing that section. I'm sort of sitting here working on mine but not fully focused.

I'm not sure what to do about it. It seems to be getting worse lately and I don't know why.

Re: I can’t cope

They are apparently bringing in that GP’s can diagnose adhd but not sure if they will be able to medicate. @MissGremlin I know you don’t do medications though but for me it changed a lot.

Im doing the last bit in 2 sections so they are bigger and will take a little longer but it feels god saying I only have 2 sections to go!

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 yes there's certain GP's that can diagnose ADHD but I'm not sure about the medication side of things. It's not even that I don't do medications anymore it's that I seem to have severe reactions to them which makes what I can take very limited. Also not being able to trust myself with them is still a huge issue.

2 sections definitely sounds better, like it's closer to being done.

Re: I can’t cope

If you found ones that didn’t react could you get them Webster packed? You go to the shops most days so you could just get them in 2 or 3 day lots? @MissGremlin. Might make things a little easier.

Thia section is mostly the sky so it’s not too bad. I’ll probably regret it when I get to the next section but it’s just some much easier than I’m use to.

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 that option just frustrates me and causes anxiety over not being in control of things myself.

I've just sat down on my lounge to work on my diamond art again until 9pm anyway, then I'll take it into my bed where I can continue to work on it.
