Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Trying different things should hopefully help. What I was doing obviously wasn’t working! @tyme. I thought being productive was important and still do but I’m trying really hard to change my ways.

She was a little bit cute!

Im glad she has grown up and there is less tantrums and screaming. Makes for a calmer household with everything else going on. Has she been good at school or have you had calls?

Re: I can’t cope

Hahaha. No calls from school yet. She got a certificate at the whole school assembly. My sister took a video. As soon as she got up, the whole crowd ooo'd and arghhh'd and laughed because she was so so so small. In the video, this lady was saying "Ooooh! So cute!"... @Captain24

But supposedly she's doing well.. she doesn't behave at school the way she does at home. I feel she has settled at home a bit which is good.

I went to a Lebanese cafe this morning. Took the kids. They loved it.

Anyway, enough of me. How was dinner yesterday?

Also, what're you up to today?

Re: I can’t cope

That’s good @tyme Well done on getting a certificate. She must be doing well. I love that she gets attention for being so little.

Mum use to call us street angels house devils. It’s good that she is settling down. Is she enjoying it?

Never had Lebanese. What did you and the kids have?

Dinner was good. I was there about an hour so that was good.

Today I have cleaned the house, did a load of washing, made the stuffing for tomorrow and stuffed the tomatoes, I washed my towels and have ironed all my washing. Now I’m just doing diamond art.

The kids next door keep hitting the fence and both dogs go running out to bark. It’s driving me crazy.

Re: I can’t cope

What? You actually have neighbour neighbours? I thought you lived on some remote block with the next house quite a few metres away??? LOL. @Captain24 That's why when your doc said go to church, I'm thinking all the old ppl in the regional area all hang out there on sundays and have coffee after church..

What a weird imagination!

I like that - street angels, house devils. Matches her totally! At this very moment, I'm in my house, and I can hear the firecracker screaming and crying... big time. It's like the house will collapse!

Lebanese is good when it is fresh. We had pides and zaatar with olives, eggs, cucumber, tomato, lemon, yoghurt. So delish!

Dinner only took an hour? That's quick!

Also, seriously, how much washing can one person and 2 dogs make?

Is it just your parents coming over tomorrow?

Re: I can’t cope

Got to the bottom of it. The eldest 2 kids put a plstic leaf bag over the little one and wouldn't let her out. She freaked out and was bawling her eyes out. @Captain24

I asked her what happened and she was still hyperventilating because she was so upset.

My sister has had enough of the eldest. The eldest is off her chops. I think it's the excitement of having her friend come to camp with her in a few days time....

Poor firecracker

Re: I can’t cope

Each house is between 5-8 metres away from my house. We all have backyards with mutual fences. The house behind me is about 15 metres away. @tyme

When he says go to church I don’t actually get it. We are catholic so you walk in attend mass then walk out and go home. There is no community! Plus they are mostly old and have known me since I was little!

It’s good though at least you can take her out places now.

No wonder she was screaming. I would have been too. That’s pretty rough on her and scary. Is the oldest in the tween stage? Or is it just her?

Yeah mum had it cooked. We ate and they got up and washed up so I left! They won’t be here for long tomorrow either. It’s just them.

I haven’t done washing all week! I haven’t done much all week. I’ve decided that the world won’t end if I don’t push my self so hard to do so much stuff. My house doesn’t need to be cleaned every 2 days. Im trying this whole be gentle with myself. 😜

Re: I can’t cope

Haahaha. Precisely.. how much 'mess' can 2 dogs and on adult make?

I cleared my place of clothes this morning so at least things look neater. I even did some weeding today which it totally not me! It was my nephew who started it and I had to hang around because he can't be outside himself.

Yes, and the poor firecracker... I felt sorry for her so I gave her lots of kisses. The eldest has been wild. She even took all my lego out and wants to 'display' them on her desk! I said, "No Way!" So I made her put it all back.

She's a kid that needs routine. She's on school holidays so I reckon that is what is setting her off.

Arghhh... kids.

All in one hour, you ate, cleaned and washed up! That's pretty cool. At least it's only the three of you. Is Keiko coming tomorrow?

Re: I can’t cope

I know. We don’t really make much mess. The floor gets bits of dead grass on it but it does straight after I clean it anyway. I do need to do the kitchen most days though as I’m pretty lazy and messy in there. @tyme. I was just going overboard. Mum and dad sweep the floor everyday and do a full house clean every second day. My house is neater and cleaner than theirs so I don’t need to do the same.

Just clearing stuff can make it look better. I cleared the Lego off my bench this morning and it looks so fresh and open! I need to weed badly. I don’t see you out there! 😂 At least he wanted to do it. Did you get it finished though?

I won’t let anyone touch my Lego. My friends some had a look but I told him not to touch it. He did say he wanted to be like me when he is older because I still do Lego!

Hasn’t school holidays just started? It could be a really long 2 weeks for you all! I need routine as well. It’ll be interesting to see how firecracker goes with her first school holidays and then going back to school.

Nah, I didn’t clean or wash up, they did all of that, I just left! 😂

Mum will help me wash the baking dishes for the beef and help with cleaning the chook cooker tomorrow and then all the rest will just go into the dishwasher! 10 minutes and cleaning up is done at my house!

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah, school holz have just started @Captain24 . Well we are camping for a week, so by the time we get back, we need to clean and tidy so it'll go really quickly. I really should tackle more of my course though. I checked and I only have 3 units left or something so I may as well do it. After all, it's in mental health and I enjoy it.

I've got more tidying to do at my place, but not tonight. I want to do all my admin-ish work done during the easter break and come back to other stuff when I come back from camping.

That's so good that everyone helps with the cleaning and stuff after dinner. That's so handy. I hate cleaning after cooking so I prefer not to cook!

What time are you going to bed?

Re: I can’t cope

At least she will have a week of holidays with the change of routine. @tyme. Aarrgghh clean and tidy. That doesn’t sound like fun. If you’re nearly finished you may as well just complete it.

See I’m the opposite. I like my house spotless before I go with sheets changed and everything so when I get home my place is clean and all I have to do is unpack! I get getting all the admin-ish stuff done though.

I hate cleaning and cooking but with pretty much everything going in the dishwasher it’s easier. That’s only with baked dinners though and there’s work that goes into making it. But it’s something nice I can do for mum and dad for Easter as they always do Good Friday nights dinner. They look after my dogs and stuff too.

The dishwasher won’t finish until 9:30 so after that. I’m having real issues with sleeping at the moment though. Last night I dreamt about diamond art! 😂 I don’t usually dream. But my sleeps only been light and so I keep waking up and then tossing and turning before I go back to sleep again.
