I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

Three showers in a row and I’m pretty proud of myself. @Jynx. I’m trying to meet my GP in the middle with his demands. Im trying to celebrate the little wins. It’s hard though.

I hope you have a good break and get some nature and sunshine. Love to see pics of what you get up to.

Hello @Captain24 @MissGremlin ,

What's everyone up today?

I went to church this morning.

@Captain24 , is your aunty okay?

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @tyme

I haven’t done much, chatted oh here a bit on @MissGremlin thread.

Ive done diamond art all morning, had some prawns for lunch, changed my bedlinen and had a shower and washed my hair. Oh and shaved my legs as the long hairs were pulling on my track pants! 😂

I’m heading around to mums in just over an hour to have the usual Good Friday night meal.

I actually checked in with her today as it’s been a couple of days now but she said she was good. She was at work the very next day. I hope she stays ok and it doesn’t develop into ptsd or anything.

Thanks so much for reading back. I really do appreciate it.

I hope church was good.

How have you been?

Re: I can’t cope

Things have been pretty good @Captain24 . I'm glad your aunty is okay. It sounded so scary.

I also saw all the photos of Pix and Jett. Too cute.

As for the Mirena and everything that came with that, boy oh boy! How stressful! I really hope things improve... I'm not looking forward to perimenopause. Sounds so hectic.

I've been super busy. I can't complain though. Things are pretty good. Then after this long weekend, I'm going away for a week so I won't be around here.

We have a campsite booked... then, last week, another family heard we booked so they booked right next to us.

It's good for the kids, but it means I have to oversocialise! I'm not looking forward to that! I want to hide away. I just spoke to the family and thank God, they are only there 2 nights. We're there for a week. So I can relax after.

Besides that, not much happening. I'm just reading about everything happening with you. I'm glad you have just a great support team.

I’m glad things have been good for you @tyme

It was really scary, things like that don’t happen here. She works in a servo. It could have been a lot worse as she was the only one there.

The can be cute. I feeling a little more connected to them again. Not fully but a little bit so that is good.

Im hoping it works out. It stressful and causing mental issues but I just have to deal with it. It’s going to be a lot to get through I think.

I’ll miss you! It good that you guys get away often. It creates memories for you and the kids.

I read the part about the other family and I was like ‘oh no’ too much pressure when you just want to chill. Then I got to the 2 days part and thought at least you will have some wind down time after having to socialise sooo much.

Thanks for reading everything. I means so much to know you care. My support team is amazing. My psych and Pdoc are on the exact same page without ever speaking to each other. My GP is a bit different and I it pushy but I have tried to meet him half way. I’m trying to shower more, I socialise on here more, I’ve been messaging friends on messenger. I’ve been going out to grocery shopping and I’ve been to a few stores that I was putting off. I have either seen someone each day whether is just being in the supermarket with people or mum and dad or I’ve talked to them on the phone. Plus doing the diamond art has kept me distracted and stopped me from sitting around doing nothing. I also have written myself lists each day, most days I achieve no chores but I’m telling myself that’s ok. I have a list for tomorrow but I just leased it by doing a few things today. But tomorrow I have to clean because I’m having mum and dad around for a baked lunch Sunday. It’s not a lot though.

Good on you for doing what you can to stay well. That's always the best thing about you. You 'listen' and 'do' what your support team say, no matter how hard it is for you. I'm mindful that sometimes it can feel impossible to do - yet you push on. @Captain24

I'm glad to hear you are reaching out to others as well.

All the best when you go to your parents' today. So you have people around every day this long weekend? Or only today and Sunday?

Is your brother coming?

And yes, I dreaded it when I heard the other family was coming. But at least it's only 2 nights! Phew!

Re: I can’t cope

My psych and Pdoc haven’t really asked much of me other than to stay safe. My GP asked way too much of me which is why I’m trying to meet him in the middle. I’m only doing what I’m capable of. The diamond art has been a godsend though. But I have also had a block of work so I don’t know whether that is mixed in as well. Plus I started on double dose of antidepressants @tyme Theres a lot that’s been happening and has changed so I really don’t know what is working and what isn’t. I’m not great, far from it but at least I can function a little even if it’s only sitting doing the diamond art.

Nah only there house tonight and them on Sunday and back to work Monday. See what happens when I go back to work. At least it’s the short block and I see my GP at the end of it. If I’m not doing well I have to ring the Pdoc and try and get in to see her. She will change some things up. With the not sleeping well it is probably hypomania which could be from the mirena as it did it last time if it could be the antidepressants. So much confusion!!!

NO BROTHER!

Do you get along well with them? It’ll be hard to be switched on all day though for a couple of days. I hope you can take the kids out for a bit as a breather?

Re: I can’t cope

When the other family is there, I'll hide when I need it. The kids can mind themselves at the caravan park @Captain24 . I'm going to bring work to the camp so I can catch up on stuff over the next few days. The only time I need to mind the youngest is when she is in the pool. The firecracker has no pool safety awareness. Ruby will come too.

I keep laughing at your doc... "Just go to church"... I can't get over it. But yes, I know what you mean by meeting him in the middle. At least you try and don't just shut it down!

And lol "No BROTHER!"

Re: I can’t cope

This sounds funny but at least having work to do can give you some down time! @tyme You’ll get it all done in the 2 days. 😂

It’s good that they can run free except in the pool. I’ll never forget the time you went and firecracker said ‘who’s doing wee’s’! I still laugh at that.

Im going to church on Sunday but there is no community. At least I can tell him I tried. I was going anyway since it’s Easter Sunday!

I have to put some effort in, only within what I think I can do though. I can’t be stuck here forever.

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah, as they say, if something's not working, do it differently. So I guess that's all you've got less to do!

Actually, it was a camp when the firecracker said the 'wees' comment!

Since starting school, she's matured. When she first started, she was in a daze. It was so funny. Not now, she's 'grown up' a bit. She's still physically really really tiny though. @Captain24

There are less meltdowns and screaming which is good.
