Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

I get more done in the mornings, that’s when I get the most done @MissGremlin. Just not as early as I have been.

That sounds heavy! 😜 He is my little buddy, has to be close to me at all times. Pix has her moments, she is happy in her own but when she wants to be with me she is relentless!

Im hoping she is tired.

It’s pretty common. I have one in each side at the moment.

Re: I can’t cope

It’s all good. I don’t expect you to read back. @tyme

Im doing pretty well recovery wise. None of the medical complications from last time at this stage so thats good. Have had a bit of hypomania mixed with freeze. So that’s really tough. My Pdoc yesterday said if things don’t improve to make an appointment to see her after I see my gp next week. Otherwise I need to see her in a month.

With the hypo, I’ve been waking up really early. The other morning I had done two loads of washing, fully cleaned my house and cleaned the fridge before 6!

I get exhausted every afternoon and need to sleep which I think is making harder for me to go to sleep of a night but it’s not why I’m waking up early.

I’ve haven’t been doing much just a lot of diamond art. I’m really struggling with my mental state. I’m not sure whether I’m falling after the mania or if I’m coming out of freeze. But I am all over the shop. Afternoon and nights are the worst.

Maybe, just maybe, one day, you finally work out that perfect concoction of meds so that you can remain stable for the rest of your life @Captain24

The 'finding out' stage is always so so hard.

Took more than 5 years for me to find the right meds. I was on anti psychotics, anti depressents, mood stabilisers... goodness knows how many different anti depressants I've tried!

It's totally a trial and error.

I acknowledge you are doing the best you can, but all these chemical imbalances aren't really helping!

I just want to say that you are doing an amazing job, considering. Not to mention holding down shift work!

Here’s hoping @tyme. But also this whole perimenopause thing is going to upset if all to with the hormone changes! I can’t win.

Going through it all is hard. You don’t know what’s working and what isn’t. What to add what to take away. Just have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. Whether the mirena is causing the hypo or whether it’s the new antidepressants.

At least you found the right concoction. I’m guessing I’ll get there one day. I’m really liking this Pdoc though. I think I trust her.

Im doing my best but it is hard. Having to go to work is hard but at least it gets me out of the house. Night shift just comes with the territory and a strict routine.

When are you going away?

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 i get things done in the mornings too. But there's early and then there's too early.

I honestly reckon male dogs are bigger cuddle bugs 😂.

I've just sat in my bed and have Casper next to me. Going to see if I can do some of my diamond art. I've had 10 hours 25 minutes of sleep between last night and today so I'm not really tired at the moment.

Re: I can’t cope

True that! @MissGremlin.

hopefully tomorrow isn’t 2 early for either of us.

He is such a little snuggle buddy. When we are in bed he has to be touching me. If I roll over he moves so he is touching me again!

I hope you get some done. That’s a good amount of sleep. I hope you feel a little better for it. My psych said to me that when I’m tossing and turning and can’t get to sleep to get up and do something. So the other night I came out and walked around the backyard for a little bit and then went back to bed and it work. I was shicked

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 fingers crossed we both don't wake up early.

Casper is the same and always is either on my pillow, across my legs or pushed right up against me.

I feel really numb at the moment but with lots of heavy thoughts (I'm safe). I'm glad getting up and walking around worked for you so you were able to get some sleep.

Re: I can’t cope

It’s pretty sweet hey. @MissGremlin

Sorry about the numbness and heavy thoughts. It’s hard to be sitting in that place. I wish I could help. Is there anything I can do?

Re: I can’t cope

@Captain24 it's very sweet.

You're helping just by chatting to me, those thoughts are there but I'm trying to keep them in the background which seems to be mostly working for the moment.

Re: I can’t cope

I hope you can keep them there. Lots of distraction can help @MissGremlin. I have a few thoughts too, my support team know about them though.
