I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

I will keep try @tyme. At least I remembered it. I know that I seem to be hitting this low quite often and there are days when I want to give up, like yesterday and I’m struggling not to give in today. But just know that I really am trying.

It is absolutely do-able though @creative_writer . You know what inspired me to look into and study the neuroplasticity of the brain? A booked called - The Woman Who changed her brain.

I know it's not so evidence based, but the underlying concept is so true. We CAN make a difference to our brain. It is like a muscle. The more we exercise parts of it, the stronger it gets - including the unhealthy thinking pathways.

@tyme neuroplasticity is definitely possible but it does take time. I do get repetitive unhelpful thoughts that lead to SI and SH thoughts.

As for running over emus and goannas, guess what? I had a dream about running over emus only yesterday or the day before! I think it is because i read about some 'Emu War'? I can't really remember the details.

Was it raining when you worked today?

We have heaps of wildlife on site @tyme

I heard something about the emu war being the largest war in history. Don’t quote me on it. It was one of our trivia questions at 3 am.

No rain here but we are starting to need a little. Not to much as we don’t need the flooding again. I was disappointed to be at work, it was the hottest day we’ve had at 35 degrees! I so wanted to be in it without hi vis!

How was the weather down there?
